Why Do Some Young Guys Like Older Women (and vice versa)?

I was watching this funny stand up show, aspiring comedians, and they were talking about why guys like cougars. It was pretty hilarious! I order often in the morning from GrubHub some mochas before I go to work and there's this cute delivery boy that is probably 20-22 .. driving a Mercedes so he's doing more than working for GrubHub but he's so cute and I see he wants to talk to me every time he gives me my coffee, but I'm old enough to be his mom! I'm also married, but if I left my husband for this young, party hearty, most likely drug transporting youth.. what would I gain? Good sex I know for certain! But why do the young guys want the cougars? Some maybe $ or security?

When I first started getting back in the dating scene post divorce I was pretty set on only dating men my age (or older). I thought a younger guy would be way too immature. However, over not a long period of time I found out there weren't as many great options my age as many of the good ones were already taken. I became really frustrated with dating. One day a much younger guy asked me out. Normally I'd never consider going out with someone so much younger (and probably immature). However, I was pretty desperate as things weren't working out well, so I said yes.
It turned out that we clicked really well. I could both tell there was an intense attraction between us. I latter discovered that the age difference was probably a good thing for us (or at least me). I found out that I needed a guy who had the energy to keep up with me, had my same sense of adventure, was open minded about a woman who is financially/professionally successful (guys my age usually aren't), someone with a bit less baggage/more optimism, and someone with a higher sex drive (also, I love his muscular body and the fact he can recover faster/get harder/go so many more rounds). That's all something found in younger men.
The relationship with that guy didn't work out, but the man I started dating soon afterwards was 15 years younger than me (and an even better fit). He's become my now boyfriend. We've been dating for almost a year and have loved every minute of it!

I think it´s the security of having a woman that knows what she wants and also can take control. Many guys don´t know how to date or take the lead so they look for a woman who has experience can lead and teach them.
Younger women are often shy and want the guy to take the iniative but those guys don´t feel well taking the iniative so they can´t find a partner of their age and therefore look for an experienced woman.

I like older guys because I’m 16 and most guys younger than me are a little too immature. I’m at the age where I have a job, my drivers license and I’m staring up my own dog breeding business.

14yr olds are way too young and a 15yr old isn’t quite at the stage of a 16yr old. It’s a big step up and you’re so much closer to being an adult. A lot more is expected from you.

I want someone older that can drive, has a job and is closer to finishing school. As a girl, I don’t really want someone that’s behind me in those milestones.

I’m not really expecting to date for a while though. I honestly don’t date much.
