Trending & News I thought so but I'm starting to think it's not completely possible. If you don't love yourself fully, then how do you know how to give love to someone else? You would be giving them parts of you but not the parts that truly matter. The parts of you that you have yet to truly discover about yourself because you didn't take the time out to discover self will be lost on your partner and there will be a lot of them trying to get that out of you but can't because you didn't try to discover it first within yourself. And so they'll be spending a lot of the relationship trying to coddle and reassure you when that should start with yourself. It's not fair to your partner to have them do that all the time for you.
And when I say all of this, I'm speaking to myself. I don't think I've ever taken out time to fully love myself and that has cost me in a relationship. He spent most of the time trying to reassure me and coddle me when I needed it to come from myself first so he wouldn't have to do that.
So my answer is no, not really.
Yes and no. Yes, because you can dedicate yourself quite easily to another person in that state. No, because you’re not really yourself in that time because the person you are is dependent on whatever love you receive from the person you’re dedicating yourself to, meaning you’re changing to fit what they want and who they are and putting yourself to the side so it’s not really “you” that they know and not really “you” that loves them.
Yes and no. Your ability to love depends upon your ability to sit authentically and openly with another. If you aren't comfortable with who you authentically are then that's going to be ten times harder. Getting to a truly deep connection, if that is something you want and many do not, will likely require you to work on loving yourself at the same time as loving someone else.
Possible? If you are willing two juggle two difficult balls at once while tramping a path of discomfort and pain. Common? I don't know. I expect not.
not properly, no...
so... it is bound to bring trouble, and sometimes... a lot of trouble
true love is better than all that, much better too
My aim on GAG is to decode love, red flags, and all the messy heart stuff for you.
Yes, it’s absolutely possible to love someone without fully loving yourself. It just usually feels insecure, anxious, and unbalanced. You might overgive, tolerate bad behavior, or fear abandonment like crazy.
The healthiest love happens when you’re still healing, but aware. Self-love is a journey, not a prerequisite stamp of approval.

When we love someone we can only love them only as deep if we love ourselves
And we can only love ourselves to the depth on who we are and our boundaries , trust and respect that we have learned for ourselves
The deeper you live , somebody determines on the depth of love that you have for yourself and we understand of it
When you truly love yourself, no matter what happens in a relationship, you either understand it was your fault or was not your fault, there's something you could have done to fix it or it was out of your hands, it gives you strength and wisdom to be able to walk away and be good. And keep going forward
A lot of People. Have a hard time when they break up
Because they don't understand we're love comes from
You can love somebody for everything that you've been through together
But whatever that might have been, you have to understand you're the only person on the inside of you that can give you love or give you sadness, the person that you're with just opens up the doors within you, to let that love out to experience it when you break up. That's what you miss from the person. Is opening those doors for you to experience new things
Humans are wired for connection, and we don't have to achieve complete self-actualization before we can care for others. The only problem is you are just making the task harder for yourself.
Yes, it is possible to love someone without loving yourself, but that love is often fragile, insecure, or demanding rather than healthy and secure.
Good luck.
Yes but you can't expect them to love you if you don't love yourself, I don't know how true that is but that's how the saying goes I think lol
I thin you need to love yourself first for better or for worse before loving others... start with yourself.
No. You can't give what you don't have to give yourself.
Absolutely!! I'm living proof of that.
yes, it;s not an either or proposition
Love yes, be in love no
