Being exploited once does *not* doom you forever. It means someone crossed your boundaries before you knew how to protect them. Now you know your worth, your “picker” gets better. Why would it? A side note. Don't let the "i know what im worth" attitude get to your head too much. That idea causes a lot of unrealistic expectations from others and can make you sound very conceited. Nope your story can be written however you choose. If you struggle to find another way there are resources available to help. Women's shelters were a huge help for my mom and I when I was younger.

It depends. Some women make that mistake and learn from it because self worth was instilled in them by their father. But other women have no self worth. They have self importance, but not self worth. And those women will do this over and over again.
