Long-distance dating is basically just spending hours in a call with someone, flirting, talking about what you'd like to do when you're together, maybe playing online games together (if that's something you do), sharing screens to watch movies/shows together, maybe having phone sex. You don't have to send nudes, though they'd probably appreciate it.

To start a LDR, just talk to someone and get to know them, like you normally would. If you like them, flirt, and it will just kind of naturally happen if they are interested in you and open to a LDR.

I would advise, however, that if you get into a LDR, do so with the intent of not letting it remain long-distance.
