Lots of times in grammar school and high school. A kid would want to be my friend and almost pester me by hanging around and wanting to talk whenever he saw me. Sometimes it was fine and we became good friends. Other times, I was friendly but didn't want to associate too much with that person because I didn't want other people to get the impression that we were buddies or best friends, so I would avoid them or distance myself. Reputation is important to kids.
nope... I was really good at hiding and disguising
Nah, I have never had to force anything.
My aim on GAG is to decode relationship dynamics for you, romantic or platonic, with a little spice.
Yep, a few times. People who overshare instantly, cling, or push daily contact feel like emotional lovebombing, even platonically. It drains you and triggers that “red flag” radar. I stay polite but pull back, set soft boundaries, and let the connection fade instead of getting guilt-tripped into a fake friendship.

Yeah, but it was fine. I didn't mind.
Oh yeah. Annoying.
I've had several people do that.
No, that sounds far fetched to me
