Has anyone mistakenly thought you were dating a relative?

The picture is a screenshot from a local store's website in their FAQ section. It got me wondering, has anyone ever jumped to the conclusion that a family member was your partner?

Perhaps you were just having a drink with your daughter, or perhaps your brother picks you up from work, or they've just seen you with a cousin and jumped to conclusions.

My best friend and friends with benefits is 20. So we are seen out a lot together especially at local shop. It came up somehow my friend asking how old he looks. And when he heard he's 20 the shop keeper looked shocked at me "is he your son?".

People actually presumed he was older and I'm younger so do think we dating and he's younger but not by as great a age gap and then of course presume "mother/son".

Yes my cousin co worker, when I picked him up from work and i was waiting for him in the store because he is a Baker. All co worker gossiping that i was his new gf😅 or my other cousin who picked me up from the bus station, he accidentally met his friends there and thought he cheated on his wife 😭

Yep, happened to me with my younger sister once. We were out for coffee, laughing, sitting close, and the waitress called her my “girlfriend.” Instant awkward silence, then we both burst out laughing. Same thing once with my cousin. People love to romanticize everything, it’s like they’re constantly shipping you in real life 😂

My father was "popular" when he was younger... we all have a bodycount... he stopped counting at 450 (he was in a popular band)... as a result i have to drive an hour or better to date or I may be dating a brother.

Not in a serious way. I do a lot of stuff together with my brother and if we arrive somewhere, people sometimes assume we're a couple but that's just them taking a 50/50 guess so it's whatever.
