It really does take two people. I don’t think it’s fair for a woman to expect a man to understand what pregnancy is like since he’s obviously need been pregnant.

But I definitely think it takes support it’s obviously harder on women than a lot of men think it is. It comes down to just being there obviously respect her space when she needs it. But be there.

Some men get weird around their wife when she’s pregnant or just expect her to keep everything together as normal. When your own home should be where you can feel safe to let go and just be yourself. Whether that’s being emotional or whatever.

A LOT of people lack empathy for their parents it’s amazing. Including women but that’s another topic altogether.

I used to ask how so many people aren’t miserable and now I understand….. they are. Sadly.

If I were pregnant, I’d want emotional reassurance, patience, affection, and consistency. No ghosting, no mood swings from him, no minimizing my feelings. Help with chores, pampering, listening without “fixing,” being present at appointments, cuddles, massages, snacks at midnight. Stability and loyalty over bare-minimum energy.
