Big dogs rarely bite, most are fairly docile or just a little over playful. But little dogs are biters. Most were bred to kill rodents so they can snap unpredictably without thinking. A big dog knows its bite will damage and isn't acceptable behaviour but little dogs don't seem to understand that.
