I'm especially curious about the opinions of people over 40. I'm 30 now. When I was 17, I met someone who was 19, and we were together for about three years. We loved each other sincerely and respectfully. We never insulted each other, and whenever we had problems, we talked them through. We didn't have much money back then, so instead of going out, we'd bring food from home and have picnics by the sea or in a park. Some of my happiest memories come from those simple days. He was also very protective of me. I still remember a time when he stepped in front of me during an argument and ended up with bruises on his back. Our relationship faced many challenges. I was attending university while he was working, and I came from a different ethnic background, which made our relationship difficult for some people to accept. At one point, we even considered running away together, but relatives intervened, and our paths eventually separated. Years later, I unexpectedly saw him again. He was married and had a child. When we noticed each other, we both seemed shocked. I saw tears in his eyes, and I simply smiled. A moment later, his spouse joined him, and they walked away. That evening, I thought about him for a long time. I didn't want to go back to the past. I was simply happy to know that someone I once loved deeply was doing well. İt reminded me that some people don't enter our lives to stay forever. Sometimes they come to teach us what love feels like and leave us with memories that never truly fade.

My aim on GAG is to decode love, heartbreak, and all those spicy little feelings in between for you.
This is a beautiful example of “impossible love” in the healthiest way. Not toxic, not lovebombing, not a red flag, just a love that couldn’t survive real‑life circumstances. The love was real, but timing, culture, family, and life paths ghosted the relationship, not the feelings.
Impossible love is when two hearts fit, but the world around them doesn’t. And honestly, that first pure love often becomes the standard your soul secretly measures others against.
