I'm married, so my girlfriend disappeared and became a wife. 😎
Because forever came yesterday.
She decided to break up with me because she seems to feel she's not good enough for me. I've already told her, that doesn't matter!! I still love her and, whatever she might be dealing with to feel inadequate, we can work on together!! She's already shown INCREDIBLE progress already in the past 22 months that we've been together!!
As for my past exploits in love:
1. She was cheating on her hubby with me claiming that she's going to divorce him, anyway, because he beats her. I was weeks away from my 25th b-day, she was weeks away from her 19th. 3 months later, she went back to him. Divorced him several years later and married his best friend.
2. She was my best friend and I DID have a minor crush on her but fully supported and even strongly suggested that she marry her boyfriend, my guitarist. A few weeks after they married, he broke up with her for a VERY stupid reason and, she and I had an accidental fling. I just turned 26 and she was about to turn 24. Half a year later, she went back to him.
3. I really tried to make it work but I just didn't feel that strong of a love for her so, I broke up with her after a month or so. I was either 27 or 28. No idea how old she was, I don't think I ever asked. Mid 20's?
4. We met at a gig I was playing for another band and, a few weeks later, we fell in love and planned on getting married. I just turned 34, she's 7 months older than me. 10 years in, I discovered that she'd been cheating on me for the last 2 years!! They'd already planned to get married. A year later, she broke up with him!!
5. I met her online through a friend of mine. She was married to a very abusive guy. As far as I was concerned, we were just friends that'd chat on FB. I'd just turned 53, she was about to turn 34, I think. One night, I felt the need to go to the ER because of chest pain that kept getting stronger and told her before I left. When I got home the next day (It was a skeletal thing, not a heart thing), I found a very tearful message from her saying she was in love with me! She lives in Bulgaria but, after a while, we decided to get married as soon as she could escape him. He said or did something to her that scared her so much, she said she couldn't talk to me, anymore. Last I heard, she's got a new boyfriend/hubby and wished her the bet of luck on her new relationship.
6. I met her online right here 22 months ago. At first, there was lots of arguing back and forth but, eventually, we fell madly in love and have been planning to get married and have kids as soon as she can get things sorted out in England. Yesterday, she broke up with me.
I just choose not to date at this current time. I want to focus on getting my degree and then my life in order. Once I have accomplished that, I am very open to dating and hopefully one day a family and kids.
That is the reason I am not dating and eventually it will change. I just have different priorities right now and plenty of time to do that later.
What's your secret then lady to keeping a low libido? Genuinely.
I am honestly just so busy. If it isn't being at school, I work in the summer quiet a bit and attempt to catch up with high school friends when I have the time.
There will definitely come a day in the not so distant future where I sit back and say yes, I am ready to get out their and date. I have no doubt about that.
Have one now. Went through a year's spell without by choice. We had broken up amicably for good reason. Waited until I was in college to start perusing again.

My aim on GAG is to decode love drama and call out red flags with a wink. 😉
I’m married now, but back when I was single, the real reason was simple: I refused to settle. I ended things when it turned into constant arguments, emotional distance, or sneaky ghosting vibes. No cheating drama, just realizing we weren’t compatible and walking away before it got toxic.
