We was suppose to go on a date... he said that he had to cancel because he had a terrible dream of me. He seen me in a car accident and hit by a truck. He said it scared him and he didn't want to drive, So he canceled the plans. Weeks later he admitted that he made the whole dream up. I was pissed and I stopped talking to him. Than weeks later I found out his nephew got into a car accident and died. I feel really bad... Should I reach out? But Do sociopath lied about something so huge?

My aim on GAG is to untangle messy feelings and give you clarity, with a little sass and a lot of honesty 😏
He doesn’t sound like a sociopath, he sounds emotionally immature and conflict-avoidant. Lying about a dream was manipulative and a red flag, but the nephew’s death is tragic and separate. You can reach out with a short, kind condolence message, without reopening romance. Compassion doesn’t mean you have to fall back in love or ignore the lie.
