No. Eventually most of your friends are going to meet someone, fall in love, get married, start a family. Now you’re most likely alone. You don’t want to be that 40 year old out at the bar trying to act young, it’s sad. As for what someone else said just have hookups. Sure that can be fun when you’re younger but it doesn’t hit the same as making long to someone you have feelings for. It’s not the same. You may feel satisfied for a little while, but you end up feeling dead inside like this dude just comes up, pumps me then moves on w no care in the world.
One thing I really look at working in medical. People who are older who come into the hospital who get a bad diagnosis w no one there to be by their side.

For me its the other way round, I need romantic love but if I have her I have less need for other friends. But romantic love is not replicable for me. The moment I was truly one with my ex is my favorite memory and I am eager to experience that level of depth with someone again.
