1 moOf course, but the real mature thing is for me to clean up the payload of the heat. The heat isn't a problem, the problem is whatever was brewing underneath my lid. ㅤ

In the heat of the moment I said it back.
Then I realized how big the mistake I made was.
Took a while after that let her down as gently as possible.
And even then there was still some tears.
Since then I am far more careful with big words that have consequences10 Reply
Yeah, definitely…
Usually if I’m really hurt or angry, I can say something harsher than I actually mean in the moment.
I’ve learned that even if you apologize later, some words still stick with people… so now I try to walk away and calm down first before I say something I can’t take back.

My aim on GAG is to decode all the messy human drama we call “love” and “dating” 😏
Yeah, I’ve snapped before and regretted it fast. Words are like screenshots: once sent, you can’t fully take them back. I’ve told a partner something sharp just to “win” an argument, then spent days repairing the damage.

2.8K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Lol. If anyone says NO they’re lying. We’re all only human. Even if you stub your toe and say F*** but aren’t a person who normally curses… that’s life. Shit happens. And the people who love you know that.

1 moSo many times and in those moments, I basically say "Fuck, you idiot." to myself in my head. It can be embarrassing or just something plain stupid to say that you let slip out.

1 moHaven't we all done that?
What's important is what we do later, in a calm mind. Do we apologize or just ignore it?
10 Reply It was a period when my mental state was bad, my family was putting a lot of pressure on me, and later I had an anger outburst and yelled at them all excessively. Then I slapped my sister, a year has passed but I still can't forget it. Yes, they affected me badly, but this is the result.😞

u 1 moyes, I'm sure I have... lol
and I used to be way way way more sarcastic as well
but I usually mean what I say, and say what I mean... so regret might not be about what I said, maybe about how I said it, or when... lol11 Reply- 1 mo
Lol!!
1.5K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Umm,
There's a reason for everything.
Including when I had a massive argument with my boss in the office.
Or when I swore at my mother's elderly friend when she suggested she have a covid booster.
Fine, it's not ideal behaviour, But it is what it is.
10 Reply584 opinions shared on Relationships topic. Yes, a few weeks ago I was riding a bicycle on a road in Portugal and going quite fast toward a junction and there was a female driver of the car who SAW me and pulled out anyway and when I yelled at her she was pissed at me so when I mentioned "bloody women drivers" to my wife she got pissed too.
10 Reply1.4K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Oh yeah!! I can think of one big one right off the top of my head.
Too bad I didn't have any duct tape at the moment to put over my big mouth.
They say that duct tape can be used for almost anything.😂20 Reply2.3K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Unfortunately, yes and not just once. It usually happens as a form of retribution, but it is not right. It is better to take some time to calm down rather than spew terrible things that no matter what anyone says, they can't be forgotten.
10 ReplyYeah, for sure. But the thing is, the other person pushes you to your absolute worst, and then when you finally snap, they turn around and play the victim like you're the bad guy for saying what you said.
10 ReplyBarely ever, unless I’m drunk or having a reaaaally bad day. I'm super patient, so if someone pushes me to that point, they deserved every single word.
10 Replyyes, but i said, it was the heat of the moment and I just felt really hurt and I just wanted to hurt you as much as I was hurting, not because I really meant it, because I didn't mean it, I was just hurt and angry.
10 Reply7.4K opinions shared on Relationships topic. I am sure I have done this but usually it takes a long time for somebody to get on my shit list. However once they get on it it is usually a permanent situation.

Anonymous(45 Plus)1 moNot really. I'm pretty measured in what i say. If i said it it probably meeded to be said. And if it crossed some sort of line, then i probably should have said it sooner.😂

1 moYes. Many times. I won't go into the details because it's personal. We all say things we don't mean when we're angry or hurt
