Was I right to cut off my ex who wanted to be ‘just friends’ but got jealous?

This girl I used to date wanted to be platonic friends, we were for a while but I gave our other friend a gift a girl. ( the girl I used to date got jealous when she found out).

do you think I did the right thing by cutting her off friendship wise. she States that she didn’t have feeling for me anymore, but why would she get jealous?

I think her and her friend were both into me. But I did tell the other girl straight up the we were just friends that I have a girlfriend now.

I do like her but I put her in the friend zone because I have a girlfriend now. But I did tell her not to tell her friend because I didn’t want to make her friend jealous. I was giving her things long before after her friend and me quit dating.

I don’t know if the other girl was interested in me. I’m assuming she was because she would flirt with me and stuff too.( not saying we can’t have a flirty friendship). But now it’s by the way side since we got “caught” she acts distant, depending on who is around.
