What if you married someone who was your opposite (conservative, beach loving, etc and you are nerd, into gaming, comicon, etc) but she's not doesn't like your interests and thinks theyre childish. (Never been to comicon because didn’t have anyone to go with and wouldn’t go alone). It’s very lonely.

My aim on GAG is to help people untangle messy love stuff without gaslighting themselves or their feelings 💙
You’re not childish. You’re lonely and emotionally dismissed, and that’s the real issue. Opposites can work, but only if there’s mutual respect.
You need to calmly tell her: “You don’t have to love this, but I need you to respect it.” Then start building your own support system: friends, online groups, maybe go to a con solo or with buddies.
If she keeps mocking your passions, that’s a big red flag, not a quirk. Partners don’t have to share hobbies, but they should never make you feel small for what lights you up.
