As in one is into gaming/anime/conventions like comicon, etc and the other is more cafe, beach, etc. and non-nerd thinks that stuff is weird or childish. How do you not feel lonely? (No friends to talk too as well)

You two should work on compromising. My fiance and I don’t share all the same interests but we still try to meet each other halfway. For example, he’s an athlete and I’m really not a fan of sports, never have been. Yet I still make it a point to be at his games when I can, I ask questions, I show interest.
What if you ask them to play a game and they makes up excuses not to, and think conventions are childish, or tell you to go by yourself knowing you won’t because ur too anxious to go alone and you really wanted them to be your player two in your hobbies.
Friends for when your girlfriend isn't into the same stuff
You have to make some

My aim on GAG is to help you dodge red flags and build real connection, not lovebombing illusions. 😉
You feel lonely because your interests are being judged, not just “different.” That’s invalidating. You don’t need a gamer partner, but you do need respect.
Ask for mutual trade‑offs: you join beach days, they join one anime night. If they mock your hobbies or refuse to try, that’s not “non‑nerdy,” that’s incompatible.
Also, find online communities for your nerdy side so your relationship isn’t your only emotional outlet.
