Are there life values that money and wealth can never buy?

I was having a discussion on Youtube about a Soap Opera. It was about a man abandoning his 10 year-old son just to escape with his mistress but he dies in the accident. I was judging him as garbage. Then two ladies were defending him, telling me ''Hey don't say that about him, he was the richest man in town and a good father''. Then a couple others came up with the excuses that the wife was an obsessive, controlling, religous fanatic and unbearable woman. Even if the wife was controlling, how is that the kid's fault? He still didn't deserve to be abandoned. Him and the wife not getting along, that's another subject.

Good father? How is abandoning your 10 year-old son (a KID), planning to never coming back to be with your mistress being a good father? He had full responsibility to be in his son's life at least till he turns 18.

I believe someone with no dignity, integrity nor values is already a trashy even if they are rich. Those things can't be bought by money.

Interesting thing about that show you watched is that the MAJORITY of modern romance books that so many women enjoy are themed around her cheating on her husband, The majority of women actually like and support cheating as long as it is women that are cheating. That is the same reason why MOST women are against laws requiring paternity tests. Most women support cheating because they have terrible morals. If you really want to see some of the worst immoral women, try working in schools for 15 years and you'll learn how hateful they are, how many of them cheat on their mates, and how unfairly they treat boys in their classes.

Money has nothing to do with it. Religion also has nothing to do with it. He might have been a good father married to a bitch/nutjob. The mistress may have been someone holding him up during a tough time.

Courts often/almost always give the child to the mother in a divorce. They assume she will be better as a caregiver. So dad doesn't have much choice there. Some say it is best to stay together but others, including kids who lived through it, say divorce is better.

Without the details, who knows who is wrong or perhaps it is both.

I think there are survival skills that kids today do not get to develop./ They do not have a heathyb respect for things that can get them killed. When they go away to college they get drunk and fall off a balcony
