What is Anthony really asking about Adam and me at our social group?

So I recently attended an Asperger’s social group with my group. None of the women were there, so I was sitting with a group of guy friends, having dinner. This balding young bloke who I’ll call Anthony (not his real name); and then an acquaintance who I’ll call Adam (not his real name); turned up first. Everything seemed to go well and I didn’t overthink it.


Today, Anthony messaged me to talk about Adam. He made vague statements like trying to share his opinion on Adam, get me to discuss or history and how I felt about Adam. He mentioned how I need to figure out what Adam wants from me, whether he’s just lonely or his intentions are malicious. I said I didn’t understand. He said we’d discuss it at the next Asperger’s social group.


I asked my best girl friend about this and she said they’re either trying to come out as a gay couple or he’s acting as Adam’s wingman, to see if I’m still interested in Adam. Anthony goes by a girl’s first name email address that he’s contacted me on. I am completely confused.

This is not only deeply confusing, but also boundary-crossing and, frankly, a little unhinged.
