Why do very attractive men sometimes marry women others consider average-looking?

I know 3 super attractive guys that married average women, I saw 10 out of 10 women chasing after some of them when I was in university, and I would think, that either these women are very kind and virtuous people, or they do not view their wives as average looking, I might view them as average looking because I am a female and I do not have masculine desires in women. I was previously friends with a guy who had a billionaire cousin and he told me his cousin's wife was average looking. I never met him because I was always around my best friend and he wanted to date my best friend so he would not introduce her to his cousin.
