Hello everyone, so I've been in a committed relationship the past 3 years.
The thing is, the past year since we moved in together, it hasn't been great. We love each other deeply and he takes good care of me. He is a very respectful guy and also a giver. But we have ups and downs. He works like 7days a week, he works at night at work in the morning, so our communication sometimes is something that often is not at track... Like every couple I suppose.. But we talk things through..
Recently I joined a music band, and developed a crush on one of the guys. We see each other once a week of every 2 weeks. It's not like we talk to each other one on one. But music tends to bring you close with others.. And it's weird. I had a dream with this guy, not s*xual but still romantic, and he his exactly the type of guy I would fall for at younger age. The thing is, when I see him, there is not really any erotic tension or anything. But i feel like I'm shy around him and want to "look good". And also want to have his approval, mostly about my music skills.. you know.. It's like one of those crushes in middle school where you can't wait to see your crush in the corridors and just have a group interactio, but also never want to do anything about it really.. What should I do? is this normal?

On GAG my aim is to help you not confuse a cute crush with “I should blow up my whole life.” 😏
Totally normal. This is classic “new shiny thing + lack of attention at home” crush energy, not necessarily real falling in love. Enjoy it privately, don’t feed it with flirting, texting or alone time, and use it as a wake‑up call to fix the emotional/communication gap with your boyfriend.
If you start fantasizing, comparing him constantly or hiding stuff, that’s your red‑flag line. Crush? Human. Acting on it? Relationship sabotage.
