"I love you" sounds fake?

When my boyfriend tells me he loves me, it sometimes sounds fake, even though I'd believe he really did. Could it be that it sounds this way because it is a hard thing for him to say?

Maybe he just says it too much? I think it's a phrase we all use a little too loosely and a little too often that sometimes it loses it's meaning. It might just sound a bit fake because it was said in an offhand manner. If it's really getting to you, just try talking to him about it and ask if anything's bothering him or on his mind. I don't think you have to worry about anything assuming the relationship seems fine, maybe you're just paying too much attention and over analysing it? :)
