I almost said I love you?

I've been talking to this guy for a while over Facebook, I really like him and am hoping to hang out with him soon. He's really adorable and respectful that it actually kills me.

Anyways so we were saying goodnight and being stupid and sending heaps of weird emojis and i typed "haha okay okay 😍😍😘😘 I love you goodnight! ❤️" but I didn't send it because I realised that I had written I love you and we haven't been talking for that long or hung out so I deleted the I love you and just sent the rest. Was it just a reflex from my past relationship? Or is it possible to somehow be somewhat in love with this guy even though we haven't hung out? Am I in love with the idea of him?

I'm so confused as to why I wrote that.

This is like my last relationship. What you are about to go into are a world of disapointment for you and a world of sorrow for him. Me and my ex girlfriend used to chat all the time. She got the idea that i talk a lot, and genually just got the wrong idea of me. When we started to talk it was really awkward and the hugs were always friendhugs. I'm a really loving guy who loves to hug (even my guy friends) so when i get a friendhug from a girlfriend it's weird. What you write sounds like you have decided that you love him or rather his texts. Before you meet him erase all memory of him and expect a blank guy. If you imagine he is this perfect guy like my ex did you will get disappointet. And if you decide that you don't like him please take the time to talk to him and explain why it's not supposed to be you two. It will help him a lot. My ex did not do that and i'm still a little sad even though it's a year ago.

You might just be in love with the idea of him. It's hard to fall in love over messaging. I would try to hang out with him in person and see how it is because you might not feel the same way after you meet him.
