so when a girl says "I'm not looking for a relationship right now", would something along the lines of "well me neither, I'm just looking for something more casual if you know what I mean" be a good response to that? It seems typically women want a relationship and guys just want sex, so I figure if she doesn't want a relationship either, then it seems conditions are favorable for setting up a casual sex relationship...what are you thoughts on this scenario ladies?

i don't like your line. you should see how she acts towards you. only you can judge this but if you guys really flirt a lot and she seems very into it (hopefully you can interpret it) she may just mean casual sex.

or, she could mean "im not interested in you at all". it depends

i was in a situation like this a few weeks ago actually and I almost told him "im not looking for a relationship" but then I didn't. I really did want to have sex with him even though I couldn't be in a relationship with him and he had told me he'd be up for it but I was just scared to jump in because I think I probably would have gotten attached and if people found out I slept with him it would ruin my reputation (long story)

but we were flirting it up. if I had said that, I would have meant because I want sex but don't want him to think I'm expecting him to date me which would have pushed him away, but I guess the reason I couldn't bring myself to say it is because I did have feelings and knew deep down casual sex won't make me happy.even though I'm crazy hot for him.

You have the basics down. Typically women want a relationship and (my words now) most guys won't turn down casual sex if the mood and girl are right. So:

1. Do not use your line. Sounds super creepy. No one needs the "if you know what I mean" added to that sentence.

2. Unless the girl was making out with you when she said that, she means she is not interested in you.

3. Girls typically enter into casual sex with someone they hope will turn into a relationship. Again, if you are making out or she otherwise seems hot for you and perhaps afraid she will scare you off with a relationship vibe, that could explain her telling you she does not want a relationship. If she is not hot and heavy flirting it up with you, move on.

If it were me saying, "I'm not looking for a relationship right now" it means I'm not looking for anything, or not interested. If I'm up for casual sex or a f*** buddy, I would say "I'm not looking for anything serious right now." Also, I agree with some of the other commenters...the "if you know what I mean" in your response comes off as a little creepy lol : /

I've had guys throw it on the table that they're willing to f*** me if I want to. Often, you have no intention of ever f***ing that guy ... but its so commonplace that I don't even get offended.

Generally, a girl says that when she doesn't want sex OR a relationship from a guy, unless she says it after they have started fooling around.
