Will he forgive me after telling his girlfriend he cheated on her?

i told the guy's girlfriend I was in a casual relationship with that he was cheating on her with me in the heat of the moment when I thought he was messing me around (well he lied to me for a month he was single and had broken up with her until I developed feelings for him and couldn't let him go!) ...now he says he will never forgive me and holds grudges against me and he said I should never have got involved, although it was his screw-up!

Can he ever forgive me - I've said how sorry and guilty I feel and it was wrong for him to cheat on her and wrong for me to tell her!

I add he'd been saying he'd contact me when he's sort his head out after the break up, to saying he never forgive me to now saying he'll contact me if he ever feels the need to. I put my foot down and said only contact me if you change and see that being a cheater is wrong...and if you can't change, then I wish you all the best.


I said I'm sorry for the pain I caused him afterward as it's awful to see someone suffering but if he hadn't lied to me about being single, I would've walked away!

I'm still trying to figure out why you're sorry? You said it yourself it was HIS screw up. If he cheated on his girlfriend with you, what makes you think he won't do it to you? Let him go, you can do much better

I'm sorry for the pain and suffering he is still going through 3 months after break up. I'm not sorry for telling her as she got saved from divorce later on in life when kids would be involved as inevitably some girl after me would've told as he cheated on her with so many gals before me(they're only mid-twenties). I guess it felt like being under his spell for a while & I cared for him and it's because he said he'll never forgive me...but with each passing day I feel better to be away from him now!

You are right, but after the break up for 2 months he told me he would get back to me when he had sorted his head out and then went on to say he's thought about and never forgive me to saying recently if he ever feels the need to contact me he will! I told him not to bother contacting me again unless he changes significantly and stops being a cheater, and if he can't change then I wish him well...I could never trust him like the way he was!

i hope you know it rarely happens that some person changes over night. so, if he calls you in a week or a month or even in a few months, he's not changed.

I agree with you on this - once a cheater, always a cheater and he's only 25, been with gfd since 17 and cheated so much on her, even boasting about stripper/prostitute sex he met in stag do and arranged private sex meeting with her later - he said as long as its behind closed doors, he's up for it! I was so disgusted so, relief to get out of it really...but letting him go gently and not harshly as I don't want to be unkind and am sorry for the pain I caused him!

No, he will never forgive you, let alone ever trust you. It doesn't matter if it was his fault or what he did was wrong. It's one of those lifes lessons that you need to learn from. Maybe in 10-20 years he will but not anytime soon.

I think I saved her life...at least saved her from divorce later on when some other gal would have told after marriage (they're 25)...he said as long as it's behind closed doors he's up for anything inc sleeping with strippers as didn't see it as wrong he was cheating on her as he said she never wants to have sex with him so he needs to do this for himself! ...now I feel so disgusted thinking about his excuses! thanks - glad you can see it clearer now...and on top of that he kept on making excuses after he got sex with me, why he wanted to keep on seeing me but couldn't because he was so busy and I saw he was online on sex website everyday but said he never contaced gals but just left that website open on his phone (yeah right - lying is so easy for him!) ...till it reached boiling point! Now I see I should've walked away now but back then I was so hot for him!
