Is he trying to make me jealous? Why do boys try make girls jealous?

Hi, I have crushed on this guy for 2 years. He admitted to me he likes me. Before he went on holiday we kissed each other. 3 months after, he walks up to some girl and hugged her. He looked at me at the same time he was doing this. Why did he do this? Was he purposely trying to make me jealous? Why do boys try to make girls jealous?

It's like we both went to the same college. He followed me into town ages ago to try ask me out. He stood behind my chair before he left college. He went up town on night on a chance to see me. I over head him say to his friend he likes me and I'm really good looking. He told me he likes me. We flirted all the time before he went on holiday. We kissed 3 months ago. Did he try make me jealous by hugging that girl? He looked at me while he was hugging her.

Ever had a driver cut you off or run a red light? They also stare at you when being bad or expecting consequences from you. In this case, that gal deserved a hug even though he might feel greater feeling for you ... and was searching for consequences.

My advice is NEVER be jealous - this will ONLY hurt YOU and eventually destroy any relationship you cherish. Even a pet needs a generous hand on its lease, otherwise it will feel like in a prison and then only has thoughts of escape.

Want to feel more honored? Lead by example and honor him with trust and freedom with praise if this is what you desire for yourself. This power is so great, if he doesn't respond, then he's not for you, no matter what you do or don't do.

Thanks for the advice. He hugged a girl in front of me and then later on when I saw him again he hugged another girl in front of me. They couldn't of both needed a hug. I'l try not get jealous but its hard because I don't want some other girl to go for him.

I couldn't believe all the hugging that goes on in college these days, then our older generation goes overboard with this (even kiss the cheek greetings) at dances. Some are huggers, others not. Gals will go for him but not just because he's a hugger. Be a hugger too.

He wanted to see how you would react if he hugged another girl in front of you. Maybe he was testing you to see what you would do, etc. And did it make you jealous? Maybe he knew the girl and was just being friendly. I think sometimes guys like to test girls emotions so they will do things to make them jealous and see how the will react in certain situations.

Thanks for the advice :) How should I react to this? I looked at him and all his friends were looking at me. Should I try make him jealous back or should I just try talking to him or something? Or should I not look at him when he makes me jealous?

You shouldn't react. Smile and be happy. If you trust him to not go over the line, you should have no reason to be jealous. If you do not trust him...

Your very welcome :) Yeah it's a tough call. You could not look at him when he tries to make you jealous but it doesn't solve the issue. You can make him jealous by doing the same thing. I bet he wouldn't like it. If it was me I would fel awkward especially since he did it in front of friends. You could talk to him and bring it to his attention. That is what I would do. If he still doesn't listen or continues doing it then you can try to make him jealous back. But he should keep things real with u
