Is it heading for a relationship or will it fizzle out? Insight please!!!

So all of my past relationships were established within 6 weeks.. I'm not use to taking things slow and I live in NYC and have had way to many almost relationships.. Unlike the other guys I've dated, this one isn't on FB, doesn't text me everyday.. He really only contacts me for plans.. We've been seeing each other for 6 weeks.. Been on 5 dates, the 4th and 5th were sleep overs.. The second one was a planed sleep over.. We have met a bunch of each others friends and I even met his older brother and his wife. He was great with my best friend and when he bought me drinks he always offered to get her drinks as well (and she drinks a lot couldn't have been cheep).. We hold hands in public, he calls me babe, we try to get to know each other and ask each other those types of getting to know you questions, we have a lot in common, our personalities compliment each other well, we cuddle and kiss when we wake up/ fall asleep.. Passionate.. I don't think he's seeing anyone else and he's the right age to start a relationship 27 almost 28 (we also met online threw umm J-date ha and he hasn't logged on since we slept together and I canceled my membership) .. If a guy takes it slow and only contacts you every few days does that mean he doesn't like you that much?

So he is 27 almost 28.. and I forgot to include that my ex boyfriend(it's been almost 2 years and I've had such a hard time moving on as had he) who was now one of my closest friends saw a pic of the new guy and I that my friend put on Facebook posted and it really got to him.. He told me that he can't handel being friends with me anymore because he still has strong feelings for me and that picture really got to him.. He didn't ever fight for me.. and now ughhh this isn't fair! I don't know what to do!

Honestly it sounds like he isn't too into you and is taking things slowly for now but it's possible he just doesn't like texting. I think you should try to initiate more talking between you two during the week. Whether that's texting or calling him or whatever. Not excessive but a few times just to see if he is responsive.

Does he have excuses for why he doesn't text you often? Or does it sort of just not happen? Because maybe he thinks seeing you about once a week is sufficient for this stage of your relationship.

No he's actually mentioned out of context that he doesn't really like texting.. I've contacted him before like mid week if I have a funny pic that relates to a convo we've had. He's always responsive and he even wanted to rush home from work to try to see me before I went away for a weekend 2weeks ago but I had to leave early .. I just want more with out scaring him or being pushy... I sent him a cute text the other day saying "i sort of miss you lol I hope that doesn't scare you (blushing)"

Oh that's actually good to hear.

I totally get why you don't want to text him more at the risk of "pushing him away"

yes.. he said "haha- Too sweet" so I joked and said "so I take it that it scares you then haha" so he responded "I don't scare so easily babe - certainly not from good news" I responded with " :)" and that was it and it has been another two days and we haven't been in contact which is normal of him

Well to me it sounds like the guy you are interested in is still trying to take things slow. Just keep in your mind that he doesn't like texting and that the fact he still keeps wanting to go on dates is more important.

And as far as the ex, unfortunately one of the only things that takes feelings away is distance. And because of that being friends is hard. He has to move on some way or another

what is it to you? & not a lot at all! Espesh for NYC and considering the amount of males that try to get with me. I don't mean to sound cocky but (pun intended) it's easy for a buterface or fat chick to keep her #down, not as many guys will try to charm their way into their pants with false promisses.YOU/they aren't a conquest witch is why pretty girls are insecure because some guys not all guys can be hurtful pigs. I'm actually going through this as well so I can't answer your question :/ Same scenario- meet online, sleepovers etc, except I've been seeing the guy for about 5 months. He's out of the country now but I think I'm throwing in the towel when he gets back.

yea I turned down 5 good guys who have asked me out in this time and I'm just not going to hold myself back.. I alerted him about what was going on with me and he gave me a long response that concluded with... let's be friends.. After I told him I had to end a friendship with an ex I want to be friends with him after dating? lol I don't get why I have to lie and play games to date a guy longer than 6 weeks

Sometimes people just want to take it slow. How old is he?

As you get older and have either more failed relationships or long-term relationships that ended, you become a little more cautious about throwing your heart out there.
