For Girls: Girlfriend ALLWAYS replying HOURS late...

I've talked to her about this so many times. We've argued about this too many times. I'm starting to get so F*CKING fed up with her. She's crazy in love with me. I know this. And I'm also crazy in love with her.

So why does she take HOURS to reply?

Her usual response is "oh I didn't see the text" or "oh I didn't feel like replying" and the classic "I don't know, I just didn't"

but while she's busy ignoring me... She's texting other people lol

any thoughts or suggestions?

I've had exes I didn't respond right away to. I was not 'madly in love with him'', or I'd have been texting him back in interest of where the convo would go. That or I felt like it was my time to be texting other friends. Usually I wasn't in the mood to talk to them and couldn't be bothered to reply.

If current boyfriend texts, who I am truly in love with, I pause what I'm doing, even while on this site mid-response, and take a minute to engage myself in the convo, even if it's mundane.

Outside of that, we don't push the text thing, we both know the other has more than just each other, and respect that. If I know it's 'buddy time' for him, I don't push him to text me, I know he doesn't stop caring if he doesn't text back for an hour or two, he just has other things he's involved in and I know when he feels like it, he will, and trust him to do it on his time. I know that not being his current priority doesn't equal me not being his top priority. I know I'm his girl, and he does a lot to display that daily, so I don't mind if he takes time for himself and isn't on call 24-7.

But for us, it's mutual understanding and respect.

You don't sound (personally) like you actually respect her individuality, so I'm not really surprised that you turn it into a matter of her disrespecting you when it sounds, (from here) the other way around. You sound like things have to be a certain way (yours) or you're annoyed with her. But that's just from my experiences from the past, I could be wrong, and I don't really know you two to say so. I guess I should more appropriately say, BASED ON what I'm seeing in this post, it sounds like a rigid relationship and certain obligations seem like they're required, or you're angry at her and condemn actions that don't suit how you feel it should be. And BASED on that, I'm forced to assume it's not her disrespecting you, but you disrespecting her need for a little personal time. It's a valid need and it doesn't mean she's doing it with intent to harm you or make you feel unwanted or unworthy of her time. Give her some space and understanding and you may see her soon reciprocate by more actively engaging in conversation because she's no longer overwhelmed and thus has the mental capability to respond happily.

#1: If you have such a problem in the texting area,then CALL her instead if she is always giving an excuse of NOT seeing it.

#2. Maybe you are annoying her by messaging her all of the time.Sometimes people need their personal space.No where in your question did you mention her texting you.That's probably because you are CONSTANTLY messaging her,she is getting annoyed by it,and she doesn't know how to tell you...other than giving excuses. You're constantly upset,because you are putting in the MOST effort concerning texting,when you should probably ease up on doing it in the first place.

#3. Personally,if I'm not responding to a guy I'm dating...its because:

A) I'm busy.

B)I'm annoyed by him.

C)I'm losing interest in him.

Period.

In summary,since you claim both of you are madly in love,(unless you've somehow got that wrong),it sounds like she maybe...annoyed to say the very least.

That's just ridiculous! That's no excuse, if you know that your guy is texting you why wouldn't you respond? It would piss me off too! Maybe she wants to keep you guessing which isn't good either. I feel like she's playing games with you and you need to speak to her again about this. I'm not a tit for tat kinda lady but maybe she needs a dose of her own medicine. When you love and care about a person, you don't leave them waiting on you or take the attitude where I'll get back to you when I feel like it, that's not love. Why do you feel entitled to an immediate response? Just because we all have phones doesn't mean we're obligated to respond the second someone sends us something. If I'm busy, I don't check my phone or reply. If I'm busy it's on silent.
