I wouldn't call it jealousy. Jealousy implies envy. I'm not envious of the guy who is hitting on my girl. I already have the upper hand because I'm in the relationship. If the guy won't stop mackin' on her, I may feel protective and make myself known. I believe that most men will assert themselves in a similar fashion if their girlfriend is being hit on in front of them. In the end it's about maintaining the relationship. How would you feel if your guy did NOTHING when some half assed romeo started putting moves on you. Would you question why your boyfriend wasn't attempting to secure the relationship? I can't imagine that you wouldn't!

I misunderstood. Men are very competitive. Sometimes, men will view a flirtacious man as a "challenger" even if they have no interest in the girl that is being flirted with. It can be a ego-boost to "out-gun" somebody. Aggressive men may make an attempt to side-swipe the flirtacious man and cut in. The passive but competitive man will sit there, look jealous & wait for the girl to notice how awesome his personality is. Until you notice, he'll be bitter & many appear "jealous

The passive/competitive attention seeking man @ the club will appear "jealous" to attract your attention away from the flirtacious challenger. I'm not saying that this is an effective method, but it's what he's comfortable with. If you somehow end up talking to this passive guy, it'll be the ego-boost of the year for him. Due to the fact that this type of scenario is such an ego boost when it actually works, he'll do it every time he goes out- It's all about the potential ego boost. That's it-

Sometimes women just do it to piss their boyfriends off, and it works. Another reason is those guys want to have sex with you, unless they are gay. Or worst of all they are hitting on you and YOU give them flirtatious replies back. The best way to avoid guys getting jealous is stop hanging around guys once you start dating one.

They usually get jealous because the girl is giving THOSE men attention back.

And a lot of the time, women do this on purpose because they know it drives some men crazy... so that could be another reason you're getting the "serious looks".

I don't really get jealous, I'm just questioning their motives cause usually I can't trust any other random male stranger who interacts with my girlfriend. Most of the times when I found out it was for bad reasons.

If she is my girl (like were datin or it is understood what is happening) then I don't get jealous just out of lassiez faire type policy but if she's mine then yeah he'll know to stand down XP
