Why is my boyfriend offended when I wear earplugs to bed?

This man snores so violently that I'm worried his tongue is going to detach, whirl down his windpipe, and choke him to death. Yet he gets all huffy with me when I wear earplugs. What does he expect me to do, sit up playing solitaire all night? I want to sleep! I don't understand why he can't grasp that concept.

I think he is probably just self-conscious about it. try not to overreact or anything and just consider how he probably feels...not to say that you aren't.

Get him to a sleep study and have them plug him into a CPAP machine. He'll thank you once he experiences a decent night of sleep.
