Simple question. Is unrequited love or a break-up worse in your opinion.

I'm sure a break-up is worse to a lot of people, especially when it's you that gets dumped when you think things were going so well. But for me, I think it's unrequited love. because you never find out what could've been.

I was talking to this girl I like for 4 months and thought there was something more between us, but she may have just confirmed there isn’t. She’d been "too busy with schoolwork" to see me the past 5 weeks, and I was kind of getting annoyed by it. Wednesday night I was asking her if she’d be free to hang out with me this weekend, but she said kept saying she didn’t know. I told her “I guess I just won’t ask then” and she must of not liked that since she immediately went to bed when I said it. Anyway, here are our messages from the following 2 days.

I never responded to that last text on Friday , because I feel like it confirmed that she doesn't have feelings for me. So it’s now been over 2 days of no communication, which is rare for us. I still really like her and still hope we can be something in the future, but I’m not sure if that’s even possible now.

Also while overthinking all of this, I realized that I probably friendzoned myself by never kissing her or flat-out telling her I like her. Both seemed like bad ideas before, considering how weird it would have been due to her being shy/socially awkward, but I probably wouldn’t be in this mess if I had just manned up and made my intentions perfectly clear at the start.

Anyway, I’ve been asking for advice about this since Friday , and gotten a million different responses. I put the most basic ones in the poll, but please comment anything not listed/specified. Also, feel free to message me or ask for more details

I really don't have much to offer. There's been girls who fall in love with me because of my humor and I can always entertain and apparently I'm a delightful gentleman but they always find someone better while in the middle of dating. Is it typical for girls to walk away from guys like me? I'm always surprised cause I've dated all sorts of girls and it's mind boggling now. I'm thinking that maybe a girl who is more concerned with working than having some "Everyday must be awesome" ideas is right for me. I want to be able to meet up with this girl to hang out and just do simple things cause for me that's a real relationship.
