My ex texted me, after one entire year.

My current hypothesis: I am the available guy.

💻📊My analysis: after analyzing her text messages, and the context in which she texted me, I can assure she is either single for now, have issues with her current partner, or she is a total sweetheart of a woman, nowadays. Either way, I don't forget what we had (the good, and the f*cked up), beside other things, and the fact that there is an entire ocean separating us.

Let's say some of the letters were romantic, some of them were platonic but all in all they were just to catch up and keep up on his life and him wondering about yours. He knows you're not a romantic option and he knows you probably haven't thought about him but he just missed you and wrote a bunch of letters.
Creepy and weird or nice and sweet?

I do not feel good about asking this. It makes me feel slimy and gross.

I am especially unhappy with having to ask so bluntly and crassly; in order to fit the one-sentence format for a GAG "question title".

I would like to explain why I am posting this. ( Feel free to just answer. Nothing below is critical for you to know).

I've always had many female friends. Most of my closest friendships since I was 13 years old have been friendships with women. I'm generally someone who people feel comfortable confiding in. I have known SO many wonderful women who have been in abusive relationships. I am as intimately familiar with the scars that can leave on a woman's psyche as anyone can be, short of first-hand experience or formal training.

On GAG I've spoken to dozens of women who were:
-In abusive relationships;
-had escaped from an abusive relationship;
-were currently in the early stages of a relationship with a guy who was showing signs he was likely to be abusive;
- or were in relationships which were clearly abusive, but were in denial; or genuinely didn't realize their relationship was "abusive."

The nature of abuse varies widely; as does the "sort" of woman. It varies from a boyfriend who is emotionally manipulative and has boundary issues... all the way up to sadists monsters who would quite literally torture their girlfriends. I have nightmares about some of these women's stories (three of them in particular).

I am under no illusions about abusive relationships being uncommon. That upsets me more than I can put into words. I also know that there have been attempts to find out "just how common". I also understand that a GAG poll is far from scientific.

I was living with a girlfriend who got paranoid jealous when she was drinking. She accused me of having affairs with women in three different states, all at least 1,000 miles away, even though I left home every day not earlier than 9 am and returned every day not later than 7 pm. So glad that's history!

There is nothing as aggravating as being accused of something of which you are entirely innocent, there is obviously no proof to fuel the suspicions, but your partner is still unrelenting with the accusations. There's your sign! Have you had this experience?

For me, the answer is "D". Yeah, most men want to lead, and most women want the man to lead. But see how I said "Most" and not "all"? Because not all men and women want traditional roles in their relationships. At the end of the day, we're all individuals.

Some happy relationships are equal, some are female-led. So I'm not advocating a total return to gender roles like the Red Pill community. But I'm also not saying that masculinity and leadership in men is toxic and that all women should want to be bosses, like SJW feminists.

For me, who leads the relationship should depend on what both parties want. So I'm kind of in the middle. Man is in charge? Okay. Woman is in charge? Okay. Neither is in charge, and both have equal power? Okay. Live and let live. That's MY personal opinion.

This is my first real relationship but she has trust issues for no reason. She asks for me to send proof of where I’m at and who I’m with. I send them to her or I would face time her and she asks to see my surroundings and all. She doesn’t let girls comment on my Instagram pictures.

In your opinion, is it possible for a woman over 35 to find a good man with whom to spend the rest of her life? According to many people - no, for a number of reasons - because most good men at this age have long been busy, because women at this age already have lower fertility, because women after this age are simply unattractive, or there are certain prejudices against them - for example, that if at that age she has not been able to find a husband, this is probably due to problems in her character. What do you think?
