Please share your personal experiences if possible. I'm asking for my best friend. So she is trying everything to fix her relationship and is truly sorry for betraying her boyfriend. She never wants to break up or leave him for or talk to the other guy. All she wants to do is forget the other guy and only thinks her emotional cheating started because her relationship needs seemed to be fulfilled in the other person - not because she actually likes him. She is certain that she still loves her boyfriend and is willing to try anything to make their relationship work. I'd appreciate the best answers you can offer for their sake. Thank you.

Me and my best friend planned to go on a domestic holiday up north coast 6 months ago

But 3 months ago, she stopped contact with me

Until last week she got into contact
And we had dinner and told me she just didn't want to talk to anyone that 3 months

And then she asked if I still want to go up north coast

To be honest I feel abit weird now going
Since we were out of contact for 3 months

Is this wrong of me to back out?

I came across this movie in which the description was that the main characters were learning to survive in a “post relationship” world. So I looked up what does post relationship mean and after diving deeper into that, I started looking at the topic of “relationship PTSD” I eventually landed on this article letting you know if you have relationship PTSD. There were a list of all the side effects one might expect from being hurt. I guess the key difference between regular sadness that your relationship ended and relationship PTSD is that the relationship in ITSELF brings the “victim” a great sense of paranoia. It all sounded so familiar. But the thing that stuck out to me the most in his article was that apparently, if you have relationship PTSD you can hardly remember being happy in your relationship. I can relate to that very much. When I look at other people being happy in there relationship I feel one of two things. Either I have this daunting concern that I am somehow different from women who are clearly more able to exist in a relationship-or I suspect that the love I witness isn’t real. I mostly see my last relationship as just one big painful memory held together by a few happy memories or moments. But when I actually stop to recall the times where I felt happy in my last relationship, I realize I wouldn’t have been happy AT ALL during the entire length of the relationship IF I knew the things that my ex boyfriend was concealing from me or even IF I knew the outcome that would come out of being in love with a man who cared so little about me as to ghost me after an entire year just to be with someone else. So in its entirety, the relationship seems like a fake to me. And it causes me to have a continued sense of paranoia even years later. And while I refuse to let my ex win any more and I think that I have recovered a lot of myself, I haven’t yet recovered the sense that when I meet a new guy I can accept that “this is reality” or “this is genuine.”

Here is an example (not of my life): your friend is in a toxic relationship and asks you what to do. You say to them that they need to stand up for themselves, be calm and leave. But you wouldn`t do the same in that situation. If you were in a toxic relationship you would be too scared to leave because you have zero confidence.

Broken people as in people that have gone through something real bad and sad which had a drastic change in their views and thoughts and resulted in severe emotional damage.
Do you think 2 such people can be in a relationship that will work out?
0r do you think they can only have a good relation with normal people?

I've seen this a lot on here. To me, it means INFINITY on both sides :) I've seen some say 50/50. I've seen some who just prefer that neither party gives any effort, so 0/0. The problem with these, in my eyes, is that they have caps on them and show lack of effort. If both parties are infinitely willing to contribute and be happy together, it makes for a success. This is a HUGE part of what's wrong with relationships and marriages today.

What's your view?

I know someone who refuses to say girlfriend. He always say oh she's my female friend or my lady friend. But to me, those all have different meanings. A girlfriend is someone you are in a relationship with. A female friend is a friend who is female, you may or may not be having sex with this person but most likely its platonic. A lady friend is a person you are having sex with and that is all. You aren't friends, you aren't dating. Am I the only one who thinks this? Are all three the same?
