Why I believe Christians are often ignorant of Christianity

I had a dream years ago, in my dream God told me “You don’t respect me, that is why there is so much darkness in your life.” I asked God what respecting Him looks like and He said “It means focusing on the lowly and humble and not the powerful and might.”

The bible says a scoffer seeks wisdom in vain and a scoffer isn’t just somebody who mocks God’s law, but also somebody who mock’s God’s children.

I remember, this week, one person said God expects you to love others but does not expect you to treat them with respect. For at least 2 years now, an user is constantly spamming my questions with ideas on the bible and than blocking me from replying and hiding their identity so that I can’t punish them for blocking me by blocking them back. He is basically harassing me and mocking me in the name of God.

The bible says that when you raise unnecessary and unfounded speculations or questions about the sincerity and authenticity of another’s faith or dismiss their religious devotion with slander and bigotry, that you will be treated like the God hating infidels that you wrongly accuse your brothers and sisters of being.

The reason some Christians can study the bible and go to bible college and pray until their blue in the face and still be ignorant of God’s truth, is that they refuse to treat their fellow believers with respect. If you do not respect God or His people, you will be blind to God’s wisdom and His laws and will end up blindly idolize for socially stipulated imitations of His law instead of trusting the real thing.

We are all Gods children, some are just on the same spiritual path towards wisdom back behind or ahead of us. We can still love those who have yet to learn more deeply in their walk with God. Reminder we were all ignorant once

Yeah, you are so right. The whole concept of Christianity is to love other people and to treat them well

I totally agree, we need to treat other people with the respect and dignity they deserve. At a base level everyone deserves some kind of dignity and respect even if they do horrible things simply because it's how you baseline treat a person. I almost view it as a lawyers respect. A criminal will get a base level of dignity and respect and I think it's good to see it at that extreme because simply people with view points that don't agree with yours still are allowed to have a common base line of dignity and respect

A lot of people are Christians In Name Only, particularly in the US where being a Christian is regarded as virtuous whether you act like a scumbag or not.

We call those C&E Christians for Christmas and Easter which are the only two times they come to Church

Its not so much as respect its more like why we dont love others the Bible says abd its true our enemies becomes our friends

I love Christ very much. I dislike Christianity though.
