In one of his videos he says if there is no ego or arrogance, you may not need to forgive another because there is no angry emotion that gives you the need to forgive others.
Based on this, I came to the conclusion:
Being gracious is about deregulating judgment and fleeing wrath towards one’s opponents, not about reversing the punishment of an evil doer by altering the laws of mortality and justice in their favour so that what they do as evil becomes good. A truly forgiving person does not require reward and compensation to forgive because they do not actually forgive, they simply abstain from all forms of judgment towards the unrighteous person who seeks to violate and tarnish their private or public self interest so that in the absence of reflective hostility, forgiveness does not need to exist as a consequent condition of one’s gracious religious imperatives because the anger does not manifest at all.
