My Christian Guide to Ignoring Sins and Graciously Forgiving Others

To forgive others, it's important to understand that your compensation will come from God and not from the pain or restitution of your enemies, that makes forgiveness much easier and if somebody is being intentionally obstructive and you have no option but to defeat or eliminate them, try your best to avoid sin and rely on God to vindicate you by seeking him and pursuing diligence in good conduct.

Sometimes God does not reward you right away but only after you have grown and changed and cleansed and matured yourself to the stage in your life, where you can be ready for His reward and compensation, because God might have to “fix,” you before God can give you what you want or need, but if your pursue God and trust in the process, you will be compensated by God and maybe also, by human beings.

Ah yes, it's so good to know that Jesus rewards me for shitting in my pants graciously. Not my kind of asceticism. Instead of rewarding the wrongdoer, I tend to meditate on rewarding the right doer. Sometimes it's me, but that's usually someone else. People who say to forgive and forget don't care about basic law and order for others, they just care about themselves not having to "get involved". They're squeamish. They want a black woman or an atheist or fucking Milo Yiannopoulos to call people out, but they don't want to do it. People like this deserve to get walked all over and turn emo later because "life is so unfair". If God Himself doesn't have the patience for evil, why should I be expected to? Have fun rationalizing an answer to this.

Yes! God will be giving us His rewards as He sees fit. Maybe now, maybe later, maybe something totally different from what we had "wanted" or thought we "needed". We need to learn to live by His wants for us, as He "fixes" us Is 64:8 ( potter and clay analogy)

Currently involved with an in-law who is HYPER-obstructive simply by definition and not conforming to his opinions was opposed to our core Christian knowledge of truth) , so my tank of forgiveness is pert' near empty. Thankfully, forgiveness is not $4.89 a gallon and is as near as a prayer.

To me, one of the biggest bonuses of forgiveness is the freedom it gives me, by not having someone (indirectly, satan too) having control over my brain and attitudes.

I can tell you, being in Germany right now, where they seem to be slowly losing their mind (if they ever had it right, as I thought they did) - what you say is true, it is just accepted by seemingly fewer and fewer people (most are out for revenge, greed-gains or shockingness-gains - especially the later being sickening, since these are people who know full well that, when they shock you to grab money from you - that they are doing the wrongest things there is - but they just flaunt all logic of decency and do it (and end up getting a war to their doorstep and getting killed)).

Even praying for such is not worth it. You can only pray for the good.

Sorry - no God's fault. He's the God of all people and the people simply choose to turn toward continued sin rather than the free redemption He offers. ref Theology 101.

Yes.

God created the universe and everything and everyone in it of his own free will. He knew what the results would be. Therefore he is responsible for the results.

@Massageman Nope. If your God exists, then he created the universe and the people in it INTENTIONALLY, of his own FREE WILL, KNOWING EXACTLY what the outcomes would be. That makes it HIS FAULT. Just like if I do something intentionally, of my own free will, and I know what the outcome will be, I am responsible.
