Why forgiveness is easier for many non Christians

So I’m on vacation now but I have access to wifi in the morning and at night.

Anyway, I think Christians have difficulty forgiving others because they believe that forgiveness and gifts from God are based on sacrifice and labour.

When God gifts you out of His love, and not out of His admiration for you and your hard work. You do not have to earn everything, God might choose to give you everything, merely for you choosing to do your best.

Like I had a dream where God told me that if I worry about what I can control, He will worry about the things I can’t control.

Well, I'm not sure if they all struggle with forgiving (would need some statistics to k for sure). But if they really struggle with it, it's going to be sodding bad for themselves, cos in the Bible it says we need to forgive men.

So simple, yet so complicated sometimes.

Imagine having to forgive a murderer which murdered someone that's precious to you?

It must be a bloody hard decision.
Even I don't know if I'd be able to forgive that person, for example.

It isn't Christians who are shooting everyone because someone offended them. Christians forgive because the Bible warns us that if we do not forgive men then we will not be forgiven. - Matthew 6:14-15 tells us, "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." Having our sins not forgiven by God is the scariest thing ever.

Interesting thought. Maybe this is more true in some contexts than others? I’ve heard some Christians say they had to forgive because God would.

That's missing a core and fundamental element of Christian theology. A Catholic might think that way, but not a Protestant.

I’m a Christian, but I don’t follow my religion and I still struggle to forgive if a friend or person did something that betrayed my trust. However I do find it easier to forgive someone if we had a misunderstanding.

I don't think it's easier for non Christians... As Christians have the Holy Spirit to help them.. Now some may not rely on him, but they have him to give them strength..

I agree that if we want to be forgiven we should forgive so that our father will forgive us.
