Why is Incest so much more prevalent in Muslim countries than anywhere else?

Especially Pakistan, which is the only country in the world where more than half of all sexual partnerships (a whopping 61.2%) are between first cousins, or even closely related members of the same family? Why are Muslim countries, and Muslim populations, so much more incestuous than everyone else?

i haven't conducted a study on this claim but i would say humans that are sexually repressed are way more likely to develop perversions or unhealthy sexuality disorders. and the islam isn't exactly sex positive. you can find the same thing in christians. hardcore christians are far more likely to have weird kinks or even illegal affinities like sexual interest in children and animals.

Not that it is the same thing. But a pure breed animal. Typically means it is from the same family or breed of that animal. Might not be the expect same blood line. But it would be part of the same family tree.

Its a misunderstood concept Islam doesn't say that you should get married to your cousin or a family member girls are forced to do that because some muslim individuals especially arabs like to keep the name of the family to it's own members its like a traditional/cultural thing & some also find love to be forbidden so marrying your cousin is just easier for them

Bro, that's a TERRIBLE argument. Third degree incest is still incest, whether it's with a half-aunt, half-niece, great-grandchild, or your first cousin. The inbreeding coefficient's still the same either way- 0.125, or 1/8th of your genes shared. And repeating this for consecutive generations, it only gets worse- you only get more inbred. Facts
