In America and democratic countries, everyone gets to live freely and practice their religion. This is a special right.

Why isn't Harvard and Columbia protesting?

Compassion for those who believe differently is a distinctly Christian / western value. Most every other type of culture in the world is far too ethnocentric.

In the west, while there may still be a lot of arrogant presumption that "our way is the right way, regarding literally everything," along with a failure to self-check, there is also a strong desire to help the less fortunate. Ensuring justice for all. And while the corrupt may be determined to ensure to the contrary, it's all about what the public assumes is happening, not what actually is. Hence, why so many supported Bush on every single thing he did in Iraq for so long, before more of the truth came out.

This is not so in many other cultures. In India, Hindus believe that Hindu top castes come first, far before anyone else. Unless you're Dalit, the lowest of the low, then anyone non-Hindu ranks as the lowest class in society. And while the official government stance may be to do away with the old caste system, die hard puritans of the older orders in the boondocks don't honor that law.

Likewise, in Sanhedrin-occupied Israel, any Jew that doesn't adhere to the Synagogue of Satan is considered an "inferior Jew," and Bibi tries to exterminate them right along with Hamas, or anyone else he deems worthy of ethnic cleansing. (But you only hear about Hamas, because even when other Jews are being targeted by Bibi, imbeciles in Scofield/Darby/Ingersoll-influenced denominations in America declare you "antisemitic" to question anything the Netanyahu regime does, like typical NPCs.)

Likewise, in predominantly Muslim-controlled countries, only the top brass of the Islamic establishment really "matter." Everyone else is human livestock to the self-serving sociopaths at the top of the food chain. And non-Muslims rank even worse yet!

So given that's the culture in Nigeria, if a few Christians get brutalized by Muslime raiders, the predominant culture zeitgeist is " but they're not us, so why should we care?"

As infuriating as this is, however, outside parties from other nations trying to perform charity by fragmenting the skulls of the rat bastards committing the original acts of religiocide rarely ends well.

Crusades require money. And money leads to greed. Greed corrupts everything.

The truth is, historically speaking, Christianity was always a minority view in the place of its' birth. The dominant religions being tribal and pagan until Islam swept the region - in part by force. At which point, Judaism and Christianity - two tribes among many in the region - were pushed into the corner.

That is until, for various reasons, Christianity took root in Europe and the Europeans - as part of their colonial expansion - pushed back into the Middle East. At that point, although Christianity was never a numerical majority, it took dominant positions in the Middle East, especially around the key "Holy Sites" of Christianity, which also overlapped those of Judaism.

So things stood, more or less, until post-WWII, in part to compensate for the Holocaust, Europe inserted Israel into the Middle East. Europe itself then withdrew from its' colonial position in the Middle East and thus the current environment in the Middle East.

Truth is, Judaism was scattered all over the world and returned to the Middle East to escape the persecutions it faced in various regions. Christianity never really took root, except among a minority, in the Arab world, where Islam and Arab nationalism conflated. Thus its' minority status.

Suffice to say, these transitions did not take place without violence and Islam - a religion which, sociologically speaking has retained a certain tribal identity, in part in reaction to European colonialism in the Arab world - does not have an identity with what are considered Western values. The net result has often been conflict. However, the sources of that violence are deeper than the mere persecution for persecution's sake that this question unintentionally suggests.

I am confused here, help me out. So you are wondering why, in a majority Islam nation, why Christianity is not more prominent? I mean, by its very definition it is an Islam majority country right? If Christianity was more prominent then it would be a Christian nation no?

Also Nigeria is a pretty bad example for you since its basically 50/50 Islam vs Christianity

You'd be surprised how many Christians there are in those countries. They tend to stay low profile because of the high probability of being killed.

Communist China's persecution of Christians is well documented. It doesn't mean there aren't Chinese Christians. Christianity grew fastest under the extreme persecution of the Roman Empire. There's no reason to believe that Muslim threats to execute Christians would be any more effective than the mass executions Nero arranged.
