It makes sense?
Is it weird that I'm black and think it's weird that blacks adhered to Christianity?
It makes sense?
Only in that you keep bringing it up. Do you imagine that a repeated lie will eventually become the truth? That if you keep claiming it was the evils of Christianity that brought down the great powers of Africa, that the history will change, and the nastier side of Roman Paganism and pretty the whole of Islam in Africa will retroactively cease to exist? Or that the horrors of American-style slavery will somehow have changed to become ended by, say, Buddhists?
History is full of people doing horrible things to each other, and sometimes the forces that fix things are ones we find distasteful. Accept it and move on.
Ok?
History is full of horrible people doing terrible things. And I hate to break it to you but Africans and black people in general have been capturing and selling each other into slavery long before white people ever set foot in Africa.
Ever heard of the Islamic slave trade? One of the oldest and most brutal slave trades in history and one that still exists today often cited by scholars as being genocide veiled in slavery because of how brutal it was.
Wanna know where it was most active? North Africa and Southeast Africa.
Also the first slaves were taken from Africa by the Portuguese and they were Roman Catholic not Christian and yes there is a difference.
So how about you actually do your research and get your facts straight, yeah?
Yes it is weird that you have a problem with it and pretty racist tbh
you also clearly know nothing about the long history of Christianity in Africa before colonists
Christians forced Christianity onto many races and ethnicities. Like the entire world.

"Most black people know that ancient Christians forced black and indigenous people to be Christians, right?"
Not substantially true. The Saracens did and your own ancestors; pagans and Muslims captured and sold your people into slavery. The word slave is derived from Slav, coined by Muslims.
During the slavery period, Planters permitted long church services on Sundays, giving slaves hope and spawning terrific music. You are not a victim. You have heritage. Stop blubbering and stand proud.
What? Christians forced black people to be Christians, and I should be happy that my ancestors had religious Sundays and permission to create music?
What? Christians forced black people to be Christians.
*They didn't. It was merely available to them and they saw it as liberating.
Should (I) be happy that my ancestors had religious Sundays
*Yes, you should. It gave them hope and purpose. Ask Frederick Douglass and Harriet Tubman
And permission to create music?
It took no permission, just like The Blues. It was a choice.
Go ahead and feign victimhood so you can fail in life. Comfort your heart with illegal drugs.
"Vá em frente e finja ser uma vítima para que possa falhar na vida. Conforte seu coração com drogas ilegais."
What?
No I think it’s weird that you’re falling for the divide. Do you suddenly now celebrate kwanza despite it not even being a holyday. Or the fact that you steal other peoples cultures and attempt to make it yours but if anyone who isn’t black has dread locks you all freak out and bitch and complain?
Keep being divided, race, culture, politics and religion. America is doomed since it’s all about diversity and no unity. Every country has its people it’s culture and a bond that all share as one, not here.
I suppose that is why the Black Hebrew Israelites were formed. Changing Christianity into a black power movement where black people are the true Israelites and King James was black (they of course don't know Hebrew so they have to use English Bibles). Why did black people accept Christianity in the first place, same reason as people accepted Islam, their gods failed to protect them from its followers. Since Gods are all powerful whoever is in power must have gotten their power from said gods, that was the mentality of most people centuries ago.
Ancient Christians huh... What is that BLM revisionist history? Meanwhile in reality David Livingstone didn't even travel through Africa until 1853. He was mapping the continent and wanted to end slavery... Maybe the word you are looking for is Muslim... The Muslim Arabs conquest of North Africa was in the 7th century AD. c They converted the population and promoted the slave trade.
Christians fought for the holy land... Not Africa...
Europeans would not have even got involved in Africa if it were not for the Muslims to begin with. Europeans traded with Asia, but the Arabs and the Ottomans taxed them heavily. The Ottomans had a very strong navy and a proclivity for piracy and slavery. Go learn about the Barbary pirates… As a result, Europeans wanted to sail around Africa to get to Asia. It’s the same reason why Columbus sailed west to America… Europeans wanted to do business. You know, buy and sell to turn a profit. It was a long journey, thus Europeans had to forum settlements along the journey to restock their ships so that people didn’t die on the long sailing voyage. Europeans were also exposed to the slave trade by Muslims who invaded the Iberian Peninsula, the south of France, Sicily, etc. and brought those customs with them. They also brought trans-Saharan land trade routes to Europe from Sub-Saharan African empires like Sokoto where slavery was rife. Business is business for traders. They buy low and sell high. Europeans were good ship builders and able to transport product over long distances well. In the Victorian era in the mid 1800s most European Christians thought slavery was. It was a plight on humanity and it needed to be changed. Then enters Christianity into Africa to bring the world of God and to free the people and bring development and trade to the region. Obviously business men wanted to do business so they made deals that favored them, but they put a lot into African development and education while they were active on the continent.
Meanwhile, Leftist dupes like you are all goo-goo over Islam, even though Muslims were among the first non-Africans to take Africans as slaves, and the LAST to stop the practice, indeed they were forced to stop at gunpoint by British and French colonial powers.
Before 1918, most African nations were still committing human sacrifice and cannibalism. Most indigenous populations in the "new world" were committing human sacrifice. Compared to that, christianity is an improvement, so the Spanish obeyed the Law of Moses and killed every man and woman over 12 years old in the offending nations.
Well... technically that's the case for anything from French, American, Portuguese to British nationalities.
These countries stole, slaughtered, colonised and raped their way across a lot of the world. Yet you find halfwit Blacks, Indians and others from some of those countries calling themselves a "proud American," "happy Brit" or some such.
It always makes me laugh when people like to be selective, when they should be invective
Christians forced a lot of people to be Christians. Why being black has anything to do with it is beyond me.
That being said I don't think its weird.
Is it weird that black people use guns? Don't they know that white people used guns against them?
Logic test
Black communities have higher religious beliefs. So in that way, you are more weird. But that means your more logical.
Black people have deeper history rallying via churches for civil rights etc, hence Reverend MLK.
So if someone driving a Dodge Charger hit you, you would sue Dodge instead of the driver?
christianity was used against everyone at some point in time.
Black people always talking about being black people. Let me ask you a serious question.. what does being black have to do with your beliefs which exist in your mind? What does being black have to do with your spirit?
Some Christian kids had bad parents, even. It still doesn't make the Bible wrong.
Dude--you need to put down all the intersectional identitarian bullshit. Your life will be WAAAAAYYYYYY better if you do!
I don't know why a bunch of honky's would worship a Jew either
No, it’s very sensible.
Black people or more religious than whites
