u My assumption is that there are more women than men who practice a religion. I think so because most religious faith today is mistaken for something emotional. And while a person may have an emotional response, that is not the object of religion. At any rate though, because women are generally more emotional than men, it will probably resonate more with them.
It's well documented that women are a fair amount more likely to be religious then men.

More men actually follow and practice religious teachings. More women claim to be religious, but don't actually follow/practice many of the religious teachings.
I think more women because women are said to be more likely attached to a faith than men. Men might be in the leading positions of religions but women are more likely to be faithful to it.
Women because it's all about feeling and wishing. Not hard cold facts.
