861 opinions shared on Religion & Spirituality topic. Yes. And, if it’s anything like this terror on this earth…then no thank you. Bible mentions the word Hell 50, plus/minus 5 times.
—Heaven in Christianity is referred to as third heaven where God resides (2 Corinthians12:2-4). Unlike all other religions, is not a good works based process.-Those who confess their sins to God (all can remember or even most recent one…), request forgiveness of sins In and Through Lord Jesus Christ, Savior is assured of Heaven. Where eternal rest and relationship, glorified as Sons/Daughters of God , exists.
—Everyone else who has not accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior, are going to be in Hell. Realities of Hell are as well as realities of how to avoid Hell WITH assurance In and Through Grace of God.
—Grace: Confessed and Professed Christian getting what is undeserved despite our Nature.
—Mercy: Not getting what one deserves.
These are attributes of God. I much rather rely on a God with this Nature than MUST do more Good than Bad when reviewed. OR, nope you are bad person from human to roach 🪳 in your next life…01 Reply

+1 yAssuming, it's real and all, then yeah, for sure.
I don't personally believe in religion and I'm agnostic, but from what I understand if there's an all-powerful, all-knowing god out there who's created a place for you to suffer in, then you're going to suffer if you're there, period.
The argument that you won't be alone anyway isn't much of a counter argument, like do you think that god can't make a person feel like they're alone, as punishment can also be psychological too, like if I as a human with limited knowledge can think of that, why couldn't god with his alleged traits?00 Reply

+1 yDoes anyone /really/ fear going to hell?
I mean... theists cherry pick their holy books, anyways, right - every theists thinks that they're going to heaven because the way they practice their faith is exactly as they believe they need to in order to get to heaven. And the people who don't accept the supernatural claim don't think they're going to hell either, because... well, they don't accept the claim that hell exists.
I struggle to imagine the person who simultaneously believes a hell exists, with complete sincerity and conviction, and yet also behaves in a way that doesn't meet their own personal requirement for not going to hell.21 Reply- +1 y
Exactly. If I were ever to believe in God and heaven and hell then I would spend every living minute trying to get to heaven and avoid hell. But the vast, vast majority of people that claim to believe in God and heaven and hell, usually don't give religion or heaven or hell much of a thought in their daily lives. Even for them it's just kind of a vague background idea.
Speaking as a Bible Christian - It scares me for the people I know who might go... I definitely won't. Not because I deserve anything else but because Lord Jesus died for my sins so I don't have to pay for them myself as long as I believe in His sacrifice. He bought me out with His holy blood so I'm safe from hell. He did it for all of us.

+1 yIt does a little bit but not much. There is no fate worse than Hell. I do believe in Jesus and I am working on being more obedient to him so I'm not too worried about going to Hell. However the thought is still unpleasant and it would be arrogant to believe just because I repented once and got baptized that I am saved. True repentance is a life long process as we WILL still struggle with sin even after finding Jesus. Also, if your walk with Jesus is based on the fear of Hell instead of true love and faith in Jesus then your faith is misguided.

What do you think about islam
- +1 y
@updategloomynights_ The Bible is clear. Jesus is the ONLY way to Heaven. As a Christian the Bible is my belief system. I love everyone, regardless of their faith. However, the Bible is clear on this. A Muslim might believe in their faith as fiercely as I do mine, but anyone who trusts their faith must also believe what their faith text says. Nobody knows who is right until we die, hence why we call it faith. I love my Muslim brethren as I do all others, but as far as my Bible goes the fate of those who follow Islam is the same as an athiest.
- +1 y
Really? Why
- +1 y
@updategloomynights_ Jesus made clear he is the only way. It is not for me to question him.
- +1 y

+1 yNot scared.
The public image of everlasting fire-torture is a picture that was created by ''church'' leaders to scare their subjects into obedience.
How I ''read'' the Bible information: you get cast away into the 'furnace'. There will be a flash - and gone you are. ''Eternal'' -to me - means: final and irrevocable.
I'd prefer though, to see an offer for heaven. If the ''church'' leaders are lying about the conditions there as well, that is.04 Reply- +1 y
Hell was created for the devil, his angels, and the antichrist. You will be cast into the outer darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Matthew 8:12 "but the sons of the kingdom will be thrown out into the outer darkness; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
Between Heaven and hell there is a great gulf fixed that no one can cross. You can see what is going on but you can't get there.
Luke 16
The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried.
23
In hell,[3] where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side.
24
So he called to him, `Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.'
25
"But Abraham replied, `Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony.
26
And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.'
27
"He answered, `Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my father's house,
28
for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.'
29
"Abraham replied, `They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.'
30
"`No, father Abraham,' he said, `but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.'
31
"He said to him, `If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.'"

@Daniela1982 I'm ok with meeting in -say- 1000 years. Then, we can discuss who ''was right''.
I'll take the risk.
Abraham and Moses... were 'prototype' Jews back then. Different times - different story, I'd say.
God's promise to ''Israel'' is and was: ''fame'', and some land.
Jesus' promise (as God's... emm... ''authorized spokesperson) to ''me'' is eternal life (when qualified).
I think that the Jewish are fucked :D - +1 y
The Jews don't believe Jesus was the Messiah. They are still waiting for him to appear.
- +1 y
@Daniela1982 - they can do what they want :)
Actually - all those people who have eaten knowledge and wisdom with a spoon will be quite embarrassed when we finally face the REAL truth, I think :D
+1 yYes. Very much. I could only imagine what hell would be like from the creator of everything. God can literally make anything out of anything.
It makes sense too that if you do bad things in this life that you one day will have consequences. It’s why I don’t do such. I can’t imagine Nothing is worse than an eternity in Hell.00 Reply
Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yMaybe I should. But I have a hard time believing a loving God would send me to hell. My heart is open. So if I expire and he feels I never knew him. Then I didn't really reject him. I just clearly didn't get the message. The Bible says "ask and it'll be revealed to you". But faith in life isn't a constant. So I just have to trust that I'll trust him and have faith unequivocally before I pass on.

Read the Quran…really 🤷🏻♂️ Have you read it. I can send you Surah that says Spirit of God, Jesus is Messiah, and basically agrees with Trinity…least a Duality of God.
—And, the Quran came into being 600 years after Jesus the Messiah rose from grave. It was so well known with witness, Roman history, religious group history, and archaeology that no one doubted it Most glaring was the forensic evidence displayed on Jesus’ risen body and the exact Timeline of events as expressed in Bible.
—-Quran: if you had a better understanding of Persian or Iranian history…you would know that resurrection was so well known that the northern Iranian State Religion was a Gnostic form of Christianity (Zorastor).
—-MID THAT TIME PERIOD, QURAN APPEARED…Muslims then attacked. Quran is nothing but a POLITICAL STATEMENT directed initially at Middle Eastern forms of Christianity.

- +1 y
It's funny you make such a claim without any evidence, typical of Muslims to require evidence for claims about Islam but then make shit up for everything else as true
- +1 y
Also a true Muslim would never use anything made or associated by kafirs because that is haram and will lead you astray from Islam
- +1 y
So everything you use like the internet, electricity, cars, appliances, etc.,... get rid of it to stay halal
- +1 y
Also imagine assuming popes exist outside Catholicism
- +1 y
Also it's funny that you Muslims claim the Bible and Torah are corrupted (without evidence) but then use verses from the same "corrupted" texts as "proof" that Islam is true (without evidence)
- +1 y
As well as not taking the verses within context and using your own non-scholarly interpretation, which is the opposite of how the Quran, Sunnah, and Hadiths are "supposed" to be interpreted
