I feel that the ones who do are the ones that are very passionate and strong believers of their faith to the point that they let that overtake the fact that there are people who not only disagree with them and do not believe what they do. They are blinded by righteousness and devotion to the point that free will is something God gave everyone.
Being Catholic myself, I will be more than willing to explain my stances on religion and beliefs, but I would not go to the point of trying to convert people or tell them they will burn for eternity or shit like that. That in my eyes is zealotry. I believe that religion is good for foundational values, faith and morals to be established, but I wouldn't say people must believe in it.
All I would wish is that if individuals who do not believe in religion or are atheist can at least be civil in return to me. You don't want to hear about my beliefs, that's fine, I won't bring it up or try to convince you. Just don't do your extreme and say people like me are foolish for choosing to believe in something that you don't. Agree to disagree and leave it at that. No need to be assholes to each other about it.

Lots are told it is a calling to spread the faith. Many just honestly want to save your soul so you'll find peace and not suffer. Others are charlatans looking to make money, ofc
I do not like mega churches and would never go to one. I prefer small private perishes that participate in food drives and stuff like that. I don't push my religion unless someone shoves some politics that disagree with my religion and world view rudely into my face
So really political types are just as bad, if not worse. As politics are not as tolerant as say, Jesus is. WWJD= what would Jesus do? Jesus wouldn't be mean and rude to complete strangers unwarranted. He was too busy fighting the system of cruelty set in place by the Pharisees and Romans.
I'm a Christian by the way um well it depends what type of person you are - some people are very strict about there religion and all that - personally i am not but i wouldn't go against it - the thing is if someone's being pushy about it it means they really care about you because they want you to have what they have - they would like to see you in wherever they believe you go to after death -
basically in religions there is a place you go to after death which is either good or bad - they obviously dont want you going to the bad place - so they're trying to get you into the good place - so don't take it in a bad way - that's not their intentions although it sometimes comes across like that
you'd do the same if you were in their shoes - not maybe in the same way but you'd feel compelled to give people the opportunity to go to heaven or wherever they believe
sorry that might be really confusing
I don’t discuss religion to get attention I do it, either to help those who care or to benefit God in ways that I believe He might consider beneficial to the kingdom, I don’t hate or look down on non religious people, but I believe that some of them might feel happier if the hear my ideas.

I dont push it but I state what I believe in. If they disagree, I prefer to agree to disagree. Im not looking to debate especially if we’ll find ignorance in eachothers opinion. The only time i’d consider trying to bring someone over is if we were dating and they asked to get closer to the Lord
You have your opinion and I have mine. We both can express it. Get over yourself? Who made you King over our Constitution. You don’t have to listen, read, or promote it by this Question…. Ohhh, I got it. All religious people are infidels to you…
Gotcha now…I’m a Christian and will discuss my beliefs but at the end of the day we all have free will and being pushy isn’t going to change any one’s mind. I believe that some Christian’s are pushy because they believe it is their mission to convert people. That or some people just have to feel they are right in their belief and don’t like it when others don’t believe how they do. You can see that in left vs right wing.
to be fair with most religions the whole premise is you aren't a good person unless you follow our rules so naturally that makes those people think everyone should follow their rules, i am not religious by the way but i can see why they would want to tell others
Most religious people believe that their religion is the correct religion, and their religion asks them to spread the faith. Like if a Catholic believes the only way to save you is to get you to worship Jesus... can you really blame them? It's like blaming the Aztecs for sacrificing people when they legitimately thought that they were helping the sun rise in the morning saving the world each day.
The same reason the irreligious feel their need to push their sanctimonious bullshit onto us, I suppose.
If you act like shit, we'll just find a nicer way to smother you, I suppose.I don't, I really dont care what people believe, It's just my mission to spread the word, the mission isn't make them believe so what they decide isn't my problem lol
I guess they feel like it's their duty as much as you'd feel it was your duty to warn someone if you knew their car's brakes were faulty.
Of course, that person could check and find out.- u
I am a Christian and I will discuss my beliefs with anyone who wants to listen but I am not forcing my beliefs on anyone.
I agree with you, these Jehovah's Witnesses always try sending me their literature in the mail and I'm a protestant
Pushing and shoving is always wrong and does not serve any purpose but sharing knowledge if it happens to be in context is nothing wrong IF you can see the percon is receptive.
I don't push my religious beliefs on others, A: it's none of my business what other's beliefs are, B: it's not my place to judge another person's beliefs. "Do not judge, and you will not be judged".
I profess my belief in Jesus Christ. I do not force you to believe, or even listen, But I am not ashamed of my belief, nor will I hide what I believe in.
Tell that to the little girls who are abducted and raped by muslim men who are then forced married and then never to be seen by their family.
I don’t.
Religious people are sick minded and would rather get into other people's lives than improving their own lives
I don’t.
