Not centuries. Decades, and maybe even just years.

Irreligion is on the rise and this is for a handful of reasons. One of the main ones is poor formation. Faithful and well-meaning, but still poorly educated souls in faith have false, fragmented, and skin-deep understandings of God, religious doctrine, and its practical applications to the soul and daily life.

As a result of this, they encounter questions and challenges for which they are not prepared. This can happen on account of a variety of reasons, but perhaps the most prominent one is their first departure from home to college. They don't have the supervision, support, and guidance from their parents, friends, or religious community anymore (many of whom themselves are also well-intended, but poorly formed). That or they might come across media like Bill Maher or someone else like that who has an aggressive and condescending assessment of religious faith. The faithful soul doesn't know how to respond and gets steamrolled.

Challenges don't always result in apostasy, but in my observation, that is the more common end. Some revert eventually, others decide to study more and become more faithful. It varies from person to person.

Then there's also the all-too common situation of bad examples from families, either because of lax participation in the faith or heavy-handed and overzealous parenting (the "fun police", if you will).

Really, there is a variety of reasons why. These are just the most significant ones that come to mind for me.

Eventually, the secular American population will power blast Bible etched in most Federal building, 10 commandments Supreme Court building, In God, we trust etc….
-The Evil will be so rampant with a combination of Lenin and Robespierre type Revolution. Debauchery with all the terrorist from BLM, South American, and Muslim world.

Yes for sure as we approach the End Times and those In Christ are removed. And the restraining Nature of the Holy Spirit is removed.

I hope not... But the more children being raised by single mothers who tend to view God and religion as a bad thing, it seems as though that's where we are headed... Especially with feminism destroying the family by convincing women to ditch their husband/boyfriend and become a single mother who has to rely on mommy government.
