Most young people do not see themselves as belonging to a religion. Will religions disappear in 50 years?
+1 yAbsolutely not, religiosity is becoming more inheritable, meaning that since religious people tend to have more children and since those children are genetically more inclined to be religious themselves (and environmentally, since religious people tend to live within communities of the same faith), that would mean that the religious population will grow more. Plus, with the direction that the world is currently taking, regular people will more likely become drawn to religion. There will probably end up being a religious resurgence in the next 100 years if not sooner.

+1 yIt will still be there, more so in some countries than others.
The US is heading towards being a Christian version of Iran.
Some states would already give them a run for their money.
In other more free societies, there will be the usual carefree attitude to religion, it’s there for births, deaths and Marriages.
As long as it does not try and prevent society moving forward, then it will be okay.

u +1 yNo. In fact if anything, that will be at least the beginnings of a major resurgence of religious faith and practice, particularly among faiths that have rich theological and philosophical traditions. If a religion or church lacks that though, or if it moves with the times and the culture, it will die out.

11 dI believe one reason problems often plague those who do not have difficult lives that would explain those problems is that God uses the systematic incongruences in our worldly system to build a lifestyle of prayer in the lives of the socially disadvantaged or marginalized or in those who are emotionally robbed, while having great material wealth. As long as problems exist, religion will continue to exist. And pain is not the only way to find God. Pain is a tool that God uses when love and humility are not there, since love and humility can build religious belief just as well as pain can and if you have love and humility, the level of pain that God has to put you through to prepare you for heaven will decrease for most people.

And those at risk will reemerge when there is calamity. But anti-religious forces will do everything they can to suppress them.
In Europe and other Western Democrat/Socialist/Communist (DSC) strongholds elsewhere, they believe in nothing, DSC becomes contrived religion. Urban China, Coastal and major metropolitan USA, Canada and Australia. Japan. Each are past religion/post modern, leaving their cultures worn out and subject to conquest by others who believe in something. They will keep their religions alive.
00 ReplyReligions will never Disappear..
Religions will Exist as Long as IDIOTS exist.. 😂 Because Only Idiots needs a Book to Guide them like NPC..
Real Players have features like - Inner Monologue + Morality + conscious. And a Capability to meditate and Enhance these Abilities..
As Long as IDIOTS need a Narrative to Satisfy their IDIOCRACY religions will Exist!. 🤭
And the Day IDIOTS do not Find any Religion Befitting their IDIOCRACY, They will Gather and Create a New RELIGION that Fits their Narrative & IDIOCRACY. 😂😂
Just wait Let s Colony of Human form on MOON And MARS.. You will find a New Religion on MOON and MARS.. because IDIOTS on MOON and MARS cannot Use Religions of Earth, It will Not Fit their IDIOCRACY & NARRATIVE. 😂😂

00 ReplyI doubt they'll disappear altogether. Religion appears to be becoming less relevant in Western societies though.
00 ReplyNo. It is a pendulum, some ages are more religious (Middle ages, baroque, romanticism) and some are less religious (reneisance, enlightment). We are now living in less religious age. Next age will be more religious.
