NO! Obviously it doesn't work! It never fails to amaze me, how these psychological torture centers go on and on about how successful they are… lets look at the methodology for how they gauge success:
You throw a kid in what is ostensibly a juvenile detention center! It’s out in the middle of nowhere, they create a secret police-state reward method for “telling-on” each other, and you cannot leave until, you relinquish satan’s grasp on you, and repent of your evil ways and swear on the Bible that ALL your impure thoughts are gone… or you don’t get to go home! OF COURSE THEY HAVE SUCH A “SUCCESS RATE”! Who the fuck would not just say “what? Me, gay? Hell no, give me some pussy!!” If it meant you immediately get out of prison, and go home? Its fucking ridiculous and cruel!
Although, as a side note, If they were REALLY serious, about seeing whether the boys at Camp La Cagé were straight, they’d bring in the lesbians from Camp Dyke-Be-Gone, and tell the boys ok, if you are so straight, pick a girl, and go fuck her! Girls, this is your final exam too!” Obvs jk!

It doesn't work.

Studies have shown since the 70s that it doesn't work, and many LGBTQ killed themselves or died going through the camps.

Canada outlawed conversion therapy recently and it's a phenomenal step. It was passed quickly and without opposition. Even our most conservative politicians rushed to pass it.

Because it is obvious that that's not how sexual orientation works.

I do, but in an opposite direction, it's the same idea as gathering arsonists together to teach them to love water... well, the end result will be sharing experiences about fire after lights out, and learning to mask that desire under "the love for water"

How many of those camp directors wind up having broken families when the business fails years later because they were in a lipstick marriage? Anyway, they're successful if the goal is to teach someone to stay in the closet, and that's about it.

No.. it’s a stupid concept. Straight conversion therapy should exist if gay conversion therapy is going to exist. Or people should just mind their own business. Someone’s sexuality doesn’t actually impact your life unless you make a point of sticking your nose where it doesn’t belong.

I don't think so. It's awful and cruel. People shouldn't have to change who they're attracted to just because they have shitty parents who can't accept them for who they are. The parents who send their children to conversion therapy should be incarcerated and force sterilized so they can never have children again.

If I was gay I can assure you nothing would make me change my mind, same as being straight nothing will ever make me change my mind about that, when you get to the age where you realize what you're attracted to you can't just change that, people who think being attracted to the same sex is a choice and people can just change that blow my mind, how would they like it if they got ridiculed for being straight and told it was wrong and to change it? I really don’t think it does tbh. And I think in most cases it’s more psychologically damaging than helpful. I think gay conversion therapy can lead to far more sexual psychological issues than whatever ones if any come from homosexuality
