In what way did you grow emotionally and spiritually?

A significant way for me was when I recently completed a 30-day at-home retreat. I spent the entire time off social media, I didn't go out and meet with friends, and I did three meditation hours each day; one was in the morning, another in the afternoon, and the third in the evening. I spent a lot of time in what Catholics call Eucharistic Adoration, or prayer before a consecrated host, which the Church knows to be the Body of Christ Himself.

That was definitely a time of significant growth for me.

I learned to avoid damage to your body and your character by identifying triggers that lead to sin or loss, for example: if somebody becomes lazy when they around certain people, they might want to avoid talking to them. I am triggered by appetite at night so I line my fridge with fruit to avoid snacking on high calorie foods like almonds or butter when I crave more calories, that is a trigger that I had to deal with.

I learned that trusting people is a mistake. You have to fully vet people and make sure they understand what you clearly stand for. Also, not be afraid to let people go, and that it’s ok to be alone with your thoughts
