I bawled my eyes out over  my boo Paul  because I remember finding out pretty much when everyone else did... And I almost forgot how much it affected me as a kid hearing about the  lovely Aaliyah, the incredible Michelle, my baby Merlin, funny boy Lamont, and cutie pie Brad  passing too. Plus I dont recall if i found out their same year of passing. But I can’t believe I just found out about my baby Godfrey last night.  In high school, I used to google him all the time because he was just so handsome. Whenever people asked on here what I found attractive, I often included his pics with others that were already in my phone. But last night, I decided to google him to see what he was up to and it hurt so much to hear what happened to him and that it happened 3 years ago. I met a girl in Ohio when I worked there for a month. We wrote to each other afterwards and talked on the phone a few times. This was 30 years ago. and I bought her a birthday present and I neve heard from her after that. I just figured she was tired of the friendship.

A couple of years ago I wondered what happened to her so I poked around on the internet to see if I could find her. I found nothing at all about her so I looked up her father to see if he still lived in the same place. I found his obituary and it said he was predeceased by a daughter. This girl did not have a sister so I found out she was dead and it was probably a very long time ago.

I never knew Pac and Biggie were dead until 2005. Living in Iraq was literally like living under the rock. Barley any internet, any news about the music from the west world, no electricity or any kind of info from the outer world.

Cyberchase was a big impact for me so I'd been crying. But yeah that's sad, I remember seeing that angel of an Asian man in a lot. But the last time I was affected by a celeb's death was for both Bob Saggot and Stan Lee. But I knew the day of. Carrie Fischer as well. Ridiculous that some of their deaths don't make the headlines as much unless they know it'll turn a profit.

Yeah, I found out about some old co-workers who died, years after the fact. Plus I went to look up an old friend from 20 years ago and found out he had died from an overdose. Obviously we weren’t so close that I kept up with any of them, but we were fairly tight at work, plus I used to hang out with the kid who OD’d a lot, he was actually my first plug when I started hustling back in college, so it was definitely a shock to the system.

Gotta say Godfrey was a handsome guy.. But, uh Betty White is all I could think of.. I didn't know whether she was dead or alive after her late bloom super stardom had died down (no pun intended) so I wasn't keeping up with her.. Then I found out not too long ago that she passed.. So that's the only one I can think of..

I don’t think i have found many I really liked who died. I was shocked too though when Heath Ledger died. Maybe I’m just not in to names of actors enough but yeah Heath, Paul, and Robin Williams were all same year, same month that I found out. I have not looked in to many others.

A friend of mine who is a fairly successful author. He was a running partner and a we read each other's manuscripts fell out of touch. Anyway I sent him a birthday wish on Facebook to have his mother inform me that he had passed a few years before.

I’m not sure if this counts since I found out the day that they died but I just to have mention them. Michael Jackson, Kobe Bryant and Gigi Bryant. When they died it felt like the whole world just stopped. The same thing goes for Aaliyah, Selena, Paul Walker, Whitney Houston. When these people died it crushed me: Mac Miller, rappers who were shot and killed which is too many

I don't follow celebs or have friends who follow them on social media, I also don't watch regular tv or subscribe to news of any kind that would post that sort of topic.
