Which version of the Catholic Mass is more authentic?

Below are two videos of Catholic Masses.

This first one is the Traditional Latin Mass (or various parts of it), which is what the Church formally offered for nearly 1,500 years until the 1970s. It's called by various names, to include the Mass of the Ages, the Extraordinary Form, the Apostolic Mass, the Tridentine Mass, and others.

The second is what is often called the Novus Ordo (New Order) Mass. It's also referred to as the Ordinary Form, the Reformed Mass, and the Mass of Paul VI, called so because it was promulgated by Pope Paul VI in 1969. It's the Mass that most Catholics know today.

Now for a moment, leave aside what you think about the Catholic Church (or for that matter, Christianity, or even just religion in general). Leave aside what you think about Catholic belief and teaching, the priesthood, or even if you don't even believe in God. What I want to know is of these two forms of the Mass, which is more authentic, more sacred, more reverent, more beautiful, more God-centered?

It's not the Mass It's the people. The people are the church. Therefore it's it different for every individual. What makes a Mass more authentic sacred reverent beautiful and God-centered is determined my the individuals openness and willingness or ability to comprehend the service.

What may move and inspire one individual may not another and vice versa. Traditional or Modern matter not as a whole but more for the individuals.

I have been to both. I have felt inspired at both. There have been time which either or have bored me. I will say I much prefer a Mass in a language I comprehend. I'm a bit more partial to modern.

I’m not a fan of thinking a person can do whatever they want only to be absolved of their sins at the end of the week.

If the eldest version leans further away from that thought process I’d have more respect for it, and consider it more authentic.

Neither one is authentic. The Mass was created in the early days if Christiznity as an extended ceremony whose climax is a re-enactment of The Last Supper. Jesus never said Mass, nor did his apostles.

The Novo Ordo Mas came out of Vatican II in the 1960s, basically to say the Mass in a person's native language. Well, the Latin Mass was created in Latin because it was the native language of the people in the Roman Empire, when it was created. Do there's really no difference between the two.

Both are, but I would opt for the English or modern language version. When Jerome completely the Vulgate in the common tongue of the people of his time, the Greek was the standard and he received a lot of opposition. Eventually the Latin was accepted as the standard. Then over 1000 years later there began tp appear translations into the native tongues in Europe, and there was opposition to changing from the Latin standard. The simple truth is that most Western Catholics do not understand Latin, at least not with the fluency to truly understand what is being said, so the Mass in the modern tongue of the people is probably better. Using the Latin, while traditional, would be like the Protestant churches using the Textus Receptus when the vast majority do not have a grasp of Koine.

I am no longer Catholic I left the church a decade ago. I don't attacked people at the end I just believe what's important is to love good. I am now Baptist Church member. I like to respect other people believes.
