I think it´s hard to prove that outside of the bible since it´s a belief system and a way to try to explain the world and humanity.
The idea behind sin is that Jews and Christians developed the concept of sin to answer the questions a. why are there so many bad things in the world if they argue that God is good and gracious.
So Jews and Christians look at their life trying to find ways to explain that also for incedences where people did bad things unintentionally.
So the concept of sin was created therefore to combine all the bad thoughts people have of others, all the bad deeds people do and did.
Christians believe that Jesus took away the burden of all those bad deeds and thoughts.
Jesus didn´t take away the possibility to sin, it´s rather an offer to live a life focused on god and to therefore be gracious and loving to others because from Christian/Jewish perspective every human is an other image bearer of God.
If you don´t believe in an evil entity that creates all the bad in the world but instead try to explain the problems of the world then you probably won´t understand the concept and need for the cross and the atonement.
The best analogy I could come up with is that for you to eat something natural like either fruits, meat or other plants have to die first in some way so that you could live on. The same way Jesus died to help humans find a new way of living and let them live a life connected to God.
It´s not good analogy to be fair
You have to do the leg work but Roman secular historians document the events, other religious historians document t the event, for two hundred years no one questioned the death, burial, and resurrection. There are 100s of eye witnesses of the events, FORENSIC evidence on body, etc. it is there if you want to look.
Lee Strobel: news reporter, vehemently anti Christ, studied to prove Christianity false, Believer. “Case for Christ and Lee Strobel book or you tube. Not too heady.
Abdu Murray: our Quran on left Bible on right spent year going through both as Muslim. Discovered Christ Jesus is Messiah, Savior, and Lord. Very heady…brilliant like Ravi Zacharis was. Grand Central…. book great read. You Tube.
Have you ever looked up the definition of faith.
Picture a Jesus's people living under the yolk of various invaders Romans, Greeks, Persians, babylonians, assyrians, Egyptians and through an off shoot of Judaism these Christians would live in the lands of their conquerors and grow. Eventually the religion of the man the Romans crucified and his followers they had persecuted and killed would come to rule the Roman empire and beyond. That's the power of faith and a miracle in itself.
That's not a valid argument. I can say the same thing about Islam and Judaism and Sikhism
The great thing about faith is you don't have to argue to prove your beliefs.
Islam never conquered an empire that was oppressing them nor Sikhism. But yeah God's chosen people retaking the Holy land sure.
Have you studied the history of the Sikhs or even the Muslims for that matter? Or are you simply speculating?
One thing I get out of the Christian bible is Jesus saying that if they slander and abuse him, they will also slander and abuse you. I’ve been hated by hundreds of people for unreal reasons, because in almost every community I’ve ever been in, there was somebody making up lies about my character and turning people against me. It was usually the bible study leader but sometimes it was a bible study member that was making up lies about me.

It’s difficult to prove that outside of the Bible. Nobody has ever died for the sins of humanity before Jesus, and nobody has ever died for the sins of humanity since Jesus.
Much of the Old Testament consists of the history of the Jewish nation of Israel, their laws, and prophecies concerning different historical events as well as the fore-coming of Christ. The Book of Daniel, for example, refers specifically to the conquest of Persia by the Greeks. The Book of Isaiah talks of a coming Messiah. Christians read the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John as eye witness accounts of that Messiah.
Why would a Christian need to prove it outside a Bible? That's like saying prove there is no God without using any science.
Lol I mean... you're just looking for the weakest argument possible because you're not confident in your own position.
I mean I was an atheist and militant one at one point and when I read the Bible I realized it contains far more wisdom than I would expect "dumb myth believers from thousands of years ago" to posses. So that got me open to it. Then I had not quite the experience of speaking tongues but something similar in relation to God and that's that. I have no doubts now.
They don't.
Only Western Christians do. Coptic and Eastern Christians do not.
As for why they believe the "died for your sins" myth, it comes from the founder of Christianity, Paul (Yes, Jesus and his family have nothing directly to do with Christianity)
Paul the Greek was adamant that Jesus "rose from the dead". Hence was "divine". A claim he never could prove, and it's why there are many schisms in Christianity.
It's all bullshit. There never was such a person.
That notion is furthest from the truth!
If you say so.
prove what we believe?
i don’t think you know the meaning of the words “prove” and “believe”.
A believer should be able to prove his beliefs and be able to convince logically another person who does not have the same beliefs as them. Otherwise the one who believes without the ability to prove them is living a lie and following his/her own passions and fits that what their mind allows them to and rejects that which in reality is the Truth!
Again, the word “believe” means that there’s no “proof”. Otherwise, the word would be “know”.
“I believe he’s innocent.” (though I have no proof).
“I know he’s innocent.” (I have proof).
Those two sentences do not mean the same thing. Anyways, you don’t have to agree. In fact, whether you agree is irrelevant. No point in continuing this conversation, since you don’t know the meanings of some of these basic words. Plus, it sounds like you’re just looking for reasons to reject Jesus as Savior, maybe so that you can live your life in your own terms (?) instead of submitting to an Almighty Savior.
No response needed, will be ignored.
"No response needed, will be ignored."
Is this what Jesus has taught you? 🤣
I will answer your question if you answer mine: Explain to me why Darth Vader died to save Luke Skywalker, outside of Star Wars.
No references to Star Wars in your answer, thank you.
Darth Vader is a character solely belonging to the Star Wars series. However Jesus Is not confined to Christianity. Certain Hindus have also spoken of him (but as a Guru and a Master and not as a god or a saviour) such as Swami Vivekananda and Swami Sivananda. Moreover he is spoken of even in the Quran which is not the Bible... So...
So nothing. Your question is directed to Christians, not to Hindus or Muslims. Try again.
My question is directed to the christians but not as a Muslim or as a hindu. But as a truth seeker. Let me put it in simple words for you, I believe in God as He is the eternal truth in all religions may it be Hinduism or Islam or Sikhism or Judaism and even Christianity. There is some truth to it... However saying that Jesus is god. Is a belief solely presented by the christians. Therefore they should be able to prove it from my perspective because I don't believe in their perspective...
For example I believe in God and if you wish me to prove it to you from a Hindu perspective I will do so from a Hindus perspective, if you want me to do that from a Sikh perspective then I will do it from a Sikhs perspective etc etc. Because God is the ultimate truth in all religions where Jesus dying for my sins and Jesus being god is purely a Christian theory...
Ok. Well, firstly, Christians believe that Christ died for their sins because it is stated in the Bible. So, asking a Christian to answer that question “outside the Bible” makes no sense whatsoever. For Christians, the Bible is the word of God, therefore the ultimate authority and touchstone of truth, as it was for Jesus Christ himself.
Second, what YOU believe is not relevant to the question. You are asking Christians what THEY believe.
Third, in your additional comments you are introducing a completely different topic - that of Jesus being God. Jesus does not need to be God to die for our sins. In fact, if Jesus were God he could not die for sins, because the man who could provide the ransom had to be the exact equal of Adam, not a “God-man”. The idea of Jesus being God was introduced by the Roman Emperor Constantine at the Council of Nicaea in AD 325. It is not a teaching found in the Bible, Jesus never claimed to be God, therefore it is not a Christian teaching.
"That's the problem... Why do Christians believe that... I don't want you or any christian to prove it from the bible but through a sane logical argument!"
You're still not getting it, are you? It is not a "problem". The problem is your lack of comprehension in failing to understand that CHRISTIAN BELIEFS ARE BASED ON THE BIBLE.
Further, the entire narrative of Jesus' life is RECORDED IN THE BIBLE.
"And secondly Evangelists and Catholics Believe he's god!"
Evangelists and Catholics are not Christians. A Christian is someone who follows the teachings of Christ. Christ did not teach that he was God.
If it is NOT in the Bible it is NOT a Christian belief! So, your question and additional comments make no sense at all.
Evangelists and Catholics are not christians! 🤣That was funny... 😂😂😂
There is something called "The Universal Truth" for example God is a universal truth found in all religions. But Jesus died for our sins is only exclusive to the Christian faith... It has nothing to do with the Truth. Therefore people should strive towards the Truth and not something which they feel like
"Evangelists and Catholics are not christians! That was funny..."
How so?
"There is something called "The Universal Truth" for example God is a universal truth found in all religions."
Wrong. Different religions have different gods, some religions such as Buddhism have no gods. Different religions have conflicting beliefs so they cannot all be true.
"But Jesus died for our sins is only exclusive to the Christian faith... It has nothing to do with the Truth."
Wrong. The Christian faith IS the truth.
"Therefore people should strive towards the Truth and not something which they feel like"
Indeed, people should strive towards the truth. Rejecting the truth in favour of that which they feel like is exactly what you are doing. It is what the Bible calls "believing the lie".
"... and with every wicked deception directed against those who are perishing, because they refused the love of the truth that would have saved them. For this reason God will send them a powerful delusion so that they believe the lie, in order that judgment may come upon all who have disbelieved the truth and delighted in wickedness.…" - 2 Thessalonians 2:11
Evangelists and Catholics are two sects of the Christian faith. You claiming that they aren't won't kick them out of Christianity.
The explanation of God might be different in different religions but the core concept unlike christianity is the same. The Buddha never taught about God, but that doesn't mean he denied Him.
Writing 'is' in bold won't make Christianity a true religion... 🤣
Stop quoting the Bible and start explaining through logic! As I don't believe in the bible

Your statement that “[The idea of Jesus being God] is not a teaching found in the Bible, Jesus never claimed to be God…” is false.
The below article link articulates how the Bible shows that Jesus “[made] the claim to be God in many different ways”…
