In Turkey, when one is born, Islam is written on his or her ID.
Islam was written on my ID when I was a newborn but I am an atheist.

You're wrong of course. They write the faith on birth certificates and ID's (if provided) in most countries.
Also "atheist" isn't a position, any more than "thief" is an occupation. Turkey has a sizable population of Coptic Christians and Jews but a lot don't register for the census. Mainly because Turkey is a transient country with millions of migrants flowing through it each year.
u. s. passports dont show which faith. newborns? also not on birth certificate. but if write at birth, before kid knows which faiths to choose from, then the number 99% is phony fraud.
Germany here, and no. Religion is no official document noted with the exception of your documents at the citizen registration office for the sole purpose of taxes.
Not on ID or passport because of secularism but on school reports or birth certificate there is written roman-catholic in my case.
